UPDATE: attended an art reception of a new young fresh African American artist by the name of Yvonne Ferguson. There was a Q &A so that we could hear from Ms. Ferguson and learn about her art which was displayed along all the walls. Please go ...make it a point. April 29, 2022- went to a Gospel Festival at the Cotton Club Museum. It was great. I was pleasantly pleased with the art work. Need to go back and take my time viewing them. The music was good. Mount Olive Praise team, Springhill Men Chorus and others. Fantastic to see Covid protocol still being observed. 2 yrs ago....Attended The Juneteenth breakfast this morning and it was fantastic , educational and heart warming. Met some good people, ate delicious food, told my story. Best of all was Abraham Lincoln. This place is really really nice. I will definently attend other events that will be held there. In the heart of the Southeast side of town.

The Cotton Club Museum is awesome, so rich in past history of cultures that made our community what it is, which involves all cultures that were made to feel insufferiouse, heritage that form a bond that cannot be broken

Awesome experience watching my cousin, Lanard Perry, and his band perform, and my childhood and life long friend, Darryl Williams and his wife, Pat, sing several times at the Cotton Club Museum.
