Ice Cream & Crepes Eatery — Restaurant in Gainesville

This was the first ice cream place i've tried since moving to gainesville and overall not a bad experience at all. The walk is about 10-ish minutes from campus, although it can be sketchy at parts.

For $5 you get 5 mini ice cream rolls in a cup with 1 mix in and 2 toppings, so not a bad deal on the price aspect. I will definitely say, they are most certainly stingy with the toppings and mixers.

You can see them make it in front of you and roll it, and for the mix in they used literally 1 average sized Oreo. I also got a topping of almonds which was fine but for strawberry they also give you quite literally 1 strawberry chopped lengthwise.

I do recommend the taro ice cream, as it was very good as far as taro goes (especially for what i expect in a college town). They also have a variety of other flavors, crepes. milkshakes, and chia pudding.

Only true complaint is the topping situation but overall, not the worst for the price relative to its proximity to campus. Also they're open till midnight unlike a lot of places around here!

I will never not this place again I ordered a rock & roll cafe and this is what I got! I asked to manager and the manager at the time had blond hair was very unprofessional wouldn’t give me her name or even have the audacity to remake my rock & roll cafe after I waited 20 to 30 min to get this results. Very unprofessional I have came here a week ago to get the same order and there was a female employee with short hair colored she told me her name was Aaliyah that has done my order before and I never had a problem but I went 2 days go to get the same ordered and i asked for Aaliyah and they told me she no longer works there so I asked to make the order I was get and this is the results I get .. Rock n Roll is a uniquely good eatery providing an awesome service (especially for late night sweet tooth cravings)! My main gripe is that the service here is particularly slow. It is after all: ice cream, crepes and coffee, which shouldn't take long to prepare. However, if you come in with a group, it could take a while to get your entire order. And even then, food doesn't come out in a logical sequence. If I order a coffee and a crepe, I'd like to get my drink before my food, and even though I've been here several times, there has never been any consistency in wait time or the order of food being made. I am glad that the prices are fairly reasonable for being in the center of town, and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed with ample room.
