Waffle House — Restaurant in Gainesville

Went in on a Monday at lunch time. It was my mom's 3rd birthday without her. I also had to put my Chihuahua/dachshund mix down who had been there for me since my mom had died. I was holding in all my emotions and my son and friend had went out side who I finished eating. When I looked up after the waitress had asked me a question and you could tell I had been crying. She asked me is everything was ok and I lost it. Burst into tears and told her what the day was and what had happened. She came around the counter and instantly gave me a big ol' bear hug and I sobbed with her for what seemed like a lifetime (which was probably only a couple minutes). This was the first time I had had went to that location and I live like 5 minutes away. I will always come back to this particular location. The staff was amazing and I am so happy I went to that...

Somebody please go work at this Waffle House- the food is great but the employees need a break!

When we were there on a Saturday night around 11pm there were three dudes running the whole show - two cooks and one waiter and they were moving FAST to try and make it work with a full house of guests and so little staff.

They were doing their very best but obviously it’s going to take a longer to be served in that sort of situation.

Our server was sincerely apologetic for the wait though and once our meals were cooked, our food was hot and tasty. There’s just nothing quite like their waffles swimming in butter and syrup and some hash browns scattered, smothered and covered.

Managers, please know your staff displayed an impressive work ethic while we were there. I hope you can get them some...

If I could give a ZERO, I would. Visiting Georgia for the holidays. We entered around 9:20 and stood awaiting to place a to go order. Around 9:35, Tiffany N. decided to talk around that she’s not taking anymore orders. She nor any of her counterparts addressed us appropriately or directly. Absolutely unacceptable. As you would like the upmost respect from customers, we require the same. We understand that it is the holidays and you are working but, that is a personal choice of your own. You are being compensated through the company and tips which we were going to leave a nice one because we saw how busy the place was. Please do not make your issues ours. I wouldn’t eat here EVER! The staff should be retrained. She allowed a $200 order walk out of the door with a $100 tip, allow that...
