Went to this place with my friends on Monday afternoon. The place wasn’t really crowded. I like the decor; it’s really nice and cute. Food was really good and delicious. Wait time for food was short. Took one star off due to our server’s overall behavior. I work in the restaurant business and I know how customer service should be. As soon as we walked in and asked for a table for 3, the server already gave us a weird look 👀. She did not provide the customer service as professionally as it should be. By talking to us like we are friends but at the same time giving us a dirty look 👀. When my friend opened Google Maps to write a review, she looked at his phone and said, “Oh no, please don’t review us.” Like, where is personal space? There was a moment where she was sitting on the floor and praying or something, I don't know 🤷‍♂️, but it was in front of all the customers and looked really unprofessional while customers were eating. I’m not judging or anything; I know everyone has a different perspective on religion or other, but doing it in front of customers was really unprofessional. Overall, I would recommend the place; food is very delicious but be prepared to get some...

I was unprepared for my experience at this Restaurant. I frequently buy sushi all over the Moco area but I found this to be a singularly unique experience. First off the Miso soup was about 3 to 4 times the size of what I normally get when I order a cup and the broth was amazing. More significantly, I ordered the house warm sake. If you frequently die in a sushi restaurants or even Chinese restaurants and you order house sake you get a relatively small container that's got maybe three little thimbulful of sake in it. The sake bottle they used was enormous compared to what I'm used to. On that basis alone I hardly recommend this place. A minor negative is that this sushi was somewhat unappealing even though it tasted very nice the Wasabi and and Ginger were so so. The Ambiance of the establishment was more than adequate the service was fabulous. I order hand rolls wherever I can becauseI like the ice cream cone style of eating. The server was more than willing to have them remake the roll into an ice cream cone style and it was delightful. I am definitely...

UPDATE: I JUST CAME BACK FROM KYOTO JAPAN AND THE TAIYAKI HERE WAS BETTER THAN IN JAPAN. Lol just really needed to put that out there. Thicker and more flavorful than the vender at the corner of north Gion.

Excellent new location, I’ve been to the Rockville location dozens of times and this place is the same high quality ramen you can expect from there. For newcomers, the Akira broth is very flavorful; I’d say it’s the best broth in the DMV area. The extras are phenomenal as well: the meat has a very nice smokey flavor and the seasoned egg is delicious. DO NOT OVERLOOK DESERTS. We’ve never tried their deserts out of habit of never getting deserts…. And we’ve missed out on the taiyaki. It sooooo good, AND fried fresh on order.

Let’s talk service at this new location. We had a satisfactory service, contrary to some negative reviews. We went during peak Saturday dinner and got orders in 5 min after seating, apps 5 min later, and entrees 10 min after. Pretty standard for restaurants. Note that some of their items will take longer to make like the...
