One of the oddest and most disappointing restaurant experiences I’ve had.
I‘ll start by saying that the food tasted great.. But the service? Crazy bad. We arrived at 8:30pm and were about to be seated by one hostess when another swooped in to say there’d be a 30-minute wait — despite more than half the tables being empty. We weren’t in a rush, so we agreed and came back 30 minutes later.
I ordered tamales and tostadas and even pointed to them on the menu. When the food came, we noticed the tostadas didn’t look quite right, but we’d never been there before and we weren’t sure what to expect, so we didn’t make a fuss.
Then came the bill, and we noticed we were charged for a significantly more expensive dish that we did not order. When I flagged it, the staff insisted we pay for it since we’d eaten the dish. We even remembered the niche names of the items we chose and where they were located on the menu, confirming they had made a mistake, but the waitress and her manager insisted that we pay anyway. It’s very possible the server made an honest mistake — but blaming us for it and refusing to acknowledge any possibility of error was incredibly disrespectful to us as customers.
It was an awkward, frustrating exchange. We weren’t trying to make a scene — just asking to pay for what we actually ordered. In every other restaurant I’ve been to, mix-ups like this are usually handled with some degree of accountability or grace.
This place? Not even close. Service had already been slow and chaotic. Several smaller things were off too. And those “reserved” tables we were told we had to wait 30 minutes for? Did not fill in the entire hour we were there - it was at least ten empty tables! We were essentially made to wait for no reason.
We left a 10% tip — far less than we normally would, but we’re also not jerks. Honestly, we were being price-conscious when we ordered, and we left feeling cheated, disrespected, and frankly, just grossed out by the whole thing. The exchange seemed slightly predatory, like they were expecting a larger tip or did this often. Would not recommend this place to anyone due to the...
Read moreThis is honestly the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in on my entire life. I show up with a large group, here to produce a tv documentary and we were all thrown out of the hotel.
I was assigned a room and went and put my things down. I had unpacked my luggage and placed a pocket knife, a pen, car keys and seven single dollar bills on the nightstand that I had in my pocket. The crew and I then went out to dinner. Upon returning the front desk clerk stopped me and asked if I was staying in room 118, I said yes wondering what was going on. The front desk clerk informed me they “had to remove my luggage from the room“ shocked I asked why. Apparently someone else had reserve that room also. The general manager instructed security to remove my luggage from the room without my knowledge or consent, even though they had a phone number to contact me. While I was out at dinner my personal belongings were ransacked and thrown back in my bag. Once I finally received my luggage from security, insulted that they even entered my room and my personal belongings were thrown around, I returned to the room. I wanted to make sure that they missed anything of mine. I opened my bag to find an broken can that had covered and soaked all my clothes.
When I return to the front desk, The security and general manager denied any of it had happened and called me a liar. The general manager than kicked the entire party out of the hotel, I’m assuming because she was tired of hearing about it.
It wasn’t until later when I had opened my bag again at a new hotel that I realized my money that I had set aside on the nightstand was missing.
This was an awful experience. My belongings were thrown around my personal space was terrorized and “someone” stole...
Read moreWas staying at a hotel near by with my partner and we decided we wanted some Mexican food. Found this place online looked like it had good reviews so we came here. I don’t know if it’s just a thing where I’m from but normally tortilla chips are free with free basket refills. Also a small queso is normally $3-4. I’ve never in my life paid almost $10 for ONE basket of chips and a tiny bowl of queso dip. There wasn’t much variety on the menu, or on the drink menu. Regular and alcoholic. Like I said I’m not sure if it’s just different in Georgia but normally there is a broad margarita menu, with like tons of different flavors and with the option to order them frozen too. I had assumed they at least had strawberry so that’s what I had ordered since I hadn’t seen a drink menu, they said okay then came back and we were then shown a drink menu and were told that they didn’t have strawberry. I figured they’d probably just have other fruit but no not really it was a small selection. Everything was just over priced for such a small amount of food. I had also asked the waitress a couple of questions that should’ve been pretty easy to know especially since you work there but she had to double check multiple times, which she could’ve been new, but the questions had been fairly simple. We got our waters refilled one time and sat the rest of the dinner without drinks. All in all I wouldn’t say this place was worth the trip...
