I had to give a star for food, but I didn't eat any of the food because of false advertising They would not get one penny from me. They should stop sending coupons for buy one entree, get one free and then don't honor it when you get there. Upon walking in the restaurant, it's very dark like you're walking into a club. The person behind the register/counter was standing there looking at us like why are we there? She barely spoke and just handed us menus. She said nothing else. We asked if we could sit at the tables and then she answered yes. No explanation of how anything works. We sat down, but didn't know if anyone was coming to our table. Eventually, my husband went to the counter to order. He presented the buy one get one free offer that was in my inbox. He was told that was not how the deal worked. The manager was called. Her name was Ms. Chambers and she gave some explanation that made absolutely no sense. I know she was competent enough to understand what buy one entree, get an entree free meant, but she didn't act like it. After, getting a response from the owner, I guess she was following his directive to not honor the coupon. He called it a miscommunication and offered daily chicken lunch specials and 5% off if I wanted to return. Returning will not happen, even if it's free. Why send offers to people's inboxes and then not honor them? I could see if there was an expiration date on it, but there was not, AND they're still advertising that offer. I wish I had read the reviews on this page first, but we were trying to support a local business. Bad business and poor service are reasons some businesses fail. I wished the owners believed that. I showed up at around 3:30 pm on a Friday to place an in-person pick up order. I ordered the medium Jerk Chicken plate with 2 sides (Mac & cheese and peas & rice). Additionally, I also ordered a beef patty to eat while I waited on my to-go order (which I received right away.) The server asked me if I wanted the jerk gravy over my food or the oxtail gravy. I asked for the jerk gravy because I like spicy and she described it as having a kick. Boy was she correct! My food was so good. Not only did she have my order ready in about 9 minutes, she showed me the food before closing up the box and bagging it.

I started digging in while driving home because it smelt SO GOOD, I couldn't wait hehee. The jerk chicken meat had a nice smokey char to it off the grill and was covered in jerk gravy. YUMMY! The rice and mac & cheese was also delicious and they give you a good sized portion. I will for sure be back and make this my go-to Jerk Chicken joint.

As far as interior goes, it wasn't anything super fancy. Looked more like a lounge inside with strobe lights and a bar. There were clean dining tables off to the right side of the bar. There was another customer inside waiting for her to-go order when I entered. So the place didn't look busy at that time with dine-in customers. However, it seems like a lot of people just do pick-ups. Best of all, I only paid $17 for my entire order! Keep up the great food...

So I got in line at 5:58p and placed my order at 6:07p and received my order at 6:59p. 1 hour waiting. The person taking my order started off with little expression even though I was being relaxed and chatty. The music was very loud reggae. Fourty minutes into the wait , I inquired about how much longer it would be. The girl said you ordered Curry Shrimp and it takes 20 -25 minutes. This was 40 minutes after I ordered. At this point she could have offered a drink or something but she just walked away. I was so frustrated. 15 minutes later the food starts to come out. Still she didn't offer an apology or any gesture to appease me for the extra long wait. She just walked away again. I spent $100 for 5 plates of take out and couldn't get a simple "I'm sorry for the wait". The Longshoreman are their main customers since 10 of them were served before me. This wasn't my first time patronizing this restaurant nor was it my first time waiting. But 1 hour...offer something. Cake, pie, juice...I'm sorry...something. The food was average and can you believe this...the veggie plate was cold. I will go around the corner to the other carribean restaurant for take...
