The waitress we had was really nice. But the other one who brought my second order of 🐟 out.kind of just dropped the plate with a nasty look on her face. The owner replied to my review. Saying he serve blk people all the time 😆. Well we been here twice and never seen a one! But us! Just because u served them don't mean u like them! All money is ( GREEN). We really thought we found another place to have 🐟 friday with our friends. And children so we could stop going to. The palmer bar for 🐟 with our children. My wife was feeling sick after eating here at GJ's Diner. Me personally i thought the food was good. And look forward to coming back with family & friends. I even posted the food on my Facebook page. Telling everyone. We found another place with good fish. And never thought twice about why the cook was looking so hard when we was eating. And when we was leaving. We eat at 100's of restaurants in Westland, Garden city, Canton, Livonia, Northville etc. And i wright reviews. About every place we go. About our experience. My cell phone tracks every place i go and later ask me how was my experience there. Reason why i post 1000's of reviews of places i go. Nothing personal. Just my experiences. Read moreEdit: 8/12/21: I haven’t been here in quite some time. Went back due to a power outage in my area. They were one of the only nearby places open this morning, during the outage. The food was fine, however it was busy and the customer service was lackluster. One of the waitresses was frustrated due to an exchange, she had with the cook. She took her frustration out on me, when I came in to pick up an order. She walked away, and talked to the other waitress. The other waitress ended up ringing up my order. They only took cash today, which was fine. But, they had difficulty adding the correct price of the food, because I believe the register wasn’t working. They also took the payment of the person behind me first, which I thought was strange as well. She then overcharged me for the order I placed, but I went along with it; because they struggled to do the math without the register. It was busy, so I just paid for it, without addressing anything. Didn’t feel good about the service, that I experienced today.
Older previous post: I’ve been coming to this diner for years, whenever I feel like having a cheat meal. The food is good, and the staff are typically nice. However, I came in today to pick up an order, and checked the food in my car and noticed a long brown hair on the box of the food. Read moreServer took our orders separately so one plate came out way before the other. Biscuits and Gravy (servers suggestion mind you) arrived to table tepid temperature. Eggs weren't cooked evenly before being flipped so some whites were runny on over medium eggs. Server didn't come back to the table for several minutes to notify about food issues until second meal came. Server sent manager to the table and it was the most insane experience. He had to come off wasn't listening to complaint. Kept saying I'll take you in the kitchen and temp it right now I bet you $100 it's 160 degrees. Literally standing in his own dining room yelling. I told him this wasn't the way you handle customers and he was incredibly disrespectful.
