Rockstarz Bar — Restaurant in Garden City

Very clean very beautiful bazzi actually. Used to be Rock Starz karaoke bar. Honestly I thought it was pretty awesome when was karaoke everyday. They had done it right like nobody else had. Sound system was really good I had a beautiful stage and drums and stuff you could act like a fool with a long wig on and a fake Eddie Van Halen guitar while your buddy acts like he's playing the drums and the bass while somebody actually sings. But not everything was perfect problem still persist in one area and that is the singer being happy. Both times I've been there I have left there wishing I could have heard myself over the PA on that nice sound system they have. You're in the audience or at the bar or anywhere in the building you can hear clearly and loudly everything sounding pretty damn good. But it's all for nothing you can't feel you did a good job because you can't even hear yourself which means you can't even sing in the right key. Karaoke isn't about the audience liking it as much as it's about the singer enjoying it! Because if the singer is enjoy it you'll be back more often because I can't help it. There's a joy to it for yourself and a pride when you know you did a good job.. that's the addiction to karaoke that's what makes you look for the best places to sing that sounds the most songs DJ that actually knows how to mix it right and makes it all sound as good as you possibly can. Far as what do I give it out of 5 stars? I give it a 4 but it's easily would be a 5 if they just made it a better experience for the singer that knows how to sing. That cares what he or she sounds like. The sad part about it all is they have monitors right there on the stage tickets don't turn them on and they don't have it loud enough on the stage to enjoy it but other than that it was pretty awesome. But one small detail that's actually a very huge detail to a GOOD karaoke singer could have made it a perfect, I can't wait till tomorrow be there again instead of where else can I go where I can...

Cruel and Unusual Punishment

The World's MOST Misguided Attempt at Gaining Social Media Followers: Torment your paying customers with a 🚨 BLARING SIREN and FLASHING RED LIGHT🚨 for 15 MINUTES STRAIGHT on the hour, EVERY HOUR, until they reach that night's following goal. It not only was a complete assault on your ears and sensory overload, but felt like extortion. Follows should be encouraged and rewarded, not punished and forced.

On top of that, they did all this ✨DURING✨ Karaoke Performances. It was wildly rude to both the performers and guests there to watch and listen. I think ultimately it had negative impact on the business. Because not only did I unfollow immediately after the night was over, I blocked them on every platform, and was so moved by this atrocity that I felt a duty within my soul to leave this review.

ZERO out of 10, I'm not a masochist, and they didn't give me the courtesy of a safe word. I did not consent to being a guinea pig for this experiment, but with this review I hope you have a better idea of what you are getting into when you go to the new and improved Rockstarz 2.0

If I could rate a 0, I would. HORRIFIC experience. Extremely racist bar. Waitress kept informing us that she was taking smoking breaks. She wasn’t knowledgeable about ANYTHING on the menu. Told me my drinks were a certain price, then when the bill came it was double the price. She told me, “Well that’s too bad, you have to pay.” Asked to speak with a manager. Manager tells me, “The waitress is my daughter and she would never quote you that price. So pay or I’ll call the cops.” Her daughter (the waitress) comes back over and says, “You don’t have to pay, just never come back to our bar again. You’re not welcome here.” I told her I would never step foot in there again. She proceeds to tell me, “You wish you were white because I’m pretty with pretty hair.” As I was leaving, her mother (the manager) is screaming from behind the bar, “DON’T EVER COME BACK HERE!” Also yelling profanities.
