I write a fair amount of reviews and I seldom give 5 stars, but this place was amazingly special. Stopped by for a late lunch one Monday (3 pm). Since parking in front of the restaurant is limited, we parked in the Walmart nursery / landscaping lot behind Greg's and walked the dirt path to the front of Greg's. The restaurant was only about a third full if that. Lots of staff on hand in anticipation of the evening Spring Break crowd I suspect. Greg's was recommended to us by some guys at the local Moose Lodge (about a mile away). They're known mainly for the burgers and ribs we were told, so I decided to order the Monday Special hamburger platter ($10.50). Wife ordered the Cheeseburger Salad ($12). (See attached photos.) It was a surprising treat to be asked how we wanted our burgers cooked; a good indication they would be big & thick... and they were. One of the best burgers I've ever eaten... served with a slice of onion, lettuce, tomato and dill pickles on a nice size bun. I think they may have added a little mayo too, but can't recall. I added some mustard, but nothing else. Perfect. The steak fries that came with the platter were also thick & delicious and seemed to be cut fresh, with the skin left on the potato I believe. For an appetizer we tried the soft pretzels (2) with cheddar cheese dip ($6.50). The pretzels were coated with butter or oil and were quite good, though the dip was somewhat lacking (not bad, just not that great IMO). The cocktails were reasonably priced ($6) so my wife ordered an Orange Crush (made with orange-flavored vodka, orange juice, triple sec and Sprite or Orange Soda). She LOVED it. The service at Greg's was equally outstanding. The abundant wait staff will stop by different tables to see if customers need anything so you aren't dependent on just your one waitress when you want to order an extra drink, the check, etc. During the 30-40 mins we were in Greg's, we never had more than 5 mins pass without someone stopping by to see if we needed/ wanted anything additional. That type of attention is virtually unheard of in establishments these days. We were wowed. In fact, we were so impressed with the restaurant, we purchased a souvenir Greg's T-shirt (just $15) to remember it by when we returned to Virginia later that week. Needless to say, next time we're in the Garden City area, we're definitely going to Greg's again. P.S. Greg's offers a 10% discount on most items to military & veterans with ID.

Local hole in the wall offering good food and drinks since 1994. This no frills, rustic bar and grill offers a daily special from their award winning burgers (10 varieties on hand) to their mouth watering ribs. Stopping by on a Monday got my wife trying their daily special of Cheeseburger or Chicken in Paradise, which she ordered the chicken. Marinated and grilled chicken breast topped with fresh lettuce and tomato, pickles, American cheese and mayo served on a toasted Brioche bun. Cheese substitute does come at a cost. I ordered the Toasted Chicken Salad that came stuffed with a simple, freshly made chicken salad, lettuce and tomato on Texas Toast. A side of fries and a pickle spear came with both meals. Prices are reasonable, food commendable and service friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Parking is limited and tricky backing up into a busy highway. One can park in the Walmart parking lot and come through the alley. Second visit to this local favorite found this bar and grill a hub of noisy activity on a Tuesday afternoon. I decided to order one of their award winning burgers that start with an eight ounce, hand-pattied Angus Beef cooked to your liking. New on the menu was the Carolina Burger. A charbroiled, crispy edged patty smothered in their own homemade chili, thick slices of onion, coleslaw, mustard and melted American cheese. A side of fries come with it. Burger was juicy, cooked to perfection and topped with a heap of fixin’s. Taste, texture and presentation added to my enjoyable experience and certainly worth every bite. To be a good burger, in my eyes, it has to be messy and before I was done there was a parade of discarded napkins surrounding my plate. Task completed.

Order the ribs! They were tender and delicious! The fries were nicely cooked, neither soggy nor overcooked. The meal was served on a tin plate. The server was going as fast as humanly possible, serving both tables and the bar. No complaints! Friendly and attentive. This is best described as a bar. Plenty of tables in addition to bar seating. About a dozen TV's around the room would make it a great place to watch ballgames. We arrived at our slightly before 5:30 on a Thursday and did not wait for a table. By 6:30 there may have been a slight wait. There were a few tables outside in front of the building. I understand there was other outdoor seating but it was in the sun on a hot evening. It is handicap accessible, although there is only one handicap parking space. But parking is at a premium; there are only about 6 parking spaces in front of the building.

“A Tale of Two Cindy’s”

The two Guys From Lancaster PA, Never forget to stop at this Fabulous place for the very best ribs There are! But besides the ribs, there’s an even More Special Memory waiting to happen Here, the last time we were in town, I couldn’t wait to run to the car to write a review after Having the fabulous (Red Haired) Cindy as Our Server, she was by far the single best, most memorable server I personally have ever met, she was so down to Earth and Made us Want to come back every time we’re in town, and Today, When we came in, We Had another Cindy, Who was Absolutely Fabulous (Must be something in a name?) because not only was she a Truly fantastic server, When I asked about a Server with Red hair and the kindest Heart, She said “Oh Wait a minute, That’s our Other Cindy!) She went and got Her immediately and made the nicest memory for us, We’re even going back Monday for Burgers, because as I was sitting there today eating Ribs, I saw the best burgers this Chef has ever seen walking by!

A very sincere And Heartfelt “Thank You” To Our Old Favorite Cindy for staying on board because we looked so forward to seeing you again and always will, Every time, and a Big Thank You to Our New Server Today, Cindy, You we’re wonderful, and from now on, I’ll be ordering Your spicy ranch with the fries and remember You’re similarly a “Sauce for every thing kinda girl!” So now, We’ve got Our Original Favorite, And Saucy Cindy to look forward to seeing every time, This memory today was as fabulous as ever, We won’t forget it, Thank You all so much for the memories you care to make For Your Guests, Our first Cindy, It was so great to see you still smiling and having a good time as ever, you treat others like Gold and there’s never going to be enough money in the world for tips for the Caliber of Server you are because your guests hit the lottery every time they get to meet you! Thanks Girls, You’ve Given Us Fellas From Pennsylvania the nicest southern...

We had a fantastic dining experience at Greg's Cabana Bar & Grill during our recent visit to Murrells Inlet. Located right on Highway 17, this laid-back spot delivers exactly what you'd hope for from a casual beachside bar and grill. What We Ordered We tried several entrees including: Boneless Wings - These were perfectly crispy and hand-breaded on the outside with tender, juicy chicken inside. The sauce selection was impressive, and they weren't skimpy with the portions. The wings had that perfect balance of flavor and heat that keeps you coming back for more. Buffalo Chicken Salad - This was a pleasant surprise! The salad was fresh and generously sized, topped with chunks of flavorful buffalo chicken that had just the right amount of spice. The lettuce was crisp, and the other toppings were fresh with a generous portion of blue cheese crumbles! It's a great option if you want something a bit lighter but still packed with flavor. French Fries - Simple but executed well. The fries were golden, crispy, and seasoned just right. They made the perfect complement to our meal and you can choose from a variety of dipping sauces - I recommend the cheese sauce! Overall Experience The atmosphere at Greg's Cabana strikes that perfect casual, beachside vibe. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food came out quickly. Portions were generous and the prices were fair for the area. This is clearly a local favorite, and after our visit, we can see why. Whether you're looking for a casual lunch spot or a place to grab some wings and watch the game, Greg's Cabana delivers solid food in a relaxed setting. Would we return? Absolutely! We're already planning our next visit to try their famous burgers and ribs that we heard so much about. Recommended for: Casual dining, families, groups looking for good bar food, anyone wanting a laid-back meal near the...
