Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Garden City

This particular JitB had a pretty quick moving drive-thru, so we stopped in for a late dinner.

We both ordered the Chicken Tater Melt Munchie Meal. When we got home and opened the boxes, the "halfsie fries" were short (one box barely had any curly fries, the other had none) & one box was missing a taco.

No big deal, accidents happen, right..? I'll just call the store and let the manager know...

I called the store. When I asked to speak to the manager, the young lady who answered refused to confirm if she was or was not the manager. When I told her we had come through the drive-thru about 10 minutes before and that there were items missing from our order, she became belligerent, and told me, "Sir, I remember that order. I packed it myself and I assure there was NOTHING wrong with it."

I reiterated what was missing, and she demanded my name, then told me if I would come back right now they would fix it. I told her I wasn't coming all the way back to the store after midnight so they could correct a missing taco. She demanded my name again and said she would leave a note so I could come in later and they would fix it.

I haven't been back yet. I'm afraid with an attitude like that someone will spit in my food or something equally disgusting and rude.

I DO want to give a shout out to the young msn who initially took our order and dealt with us at the drive-thru window. Younger guy, curly hair, seemed to have a pleasant smile (hard to tell with his mask on). Very polite, answered questions and took payment quickly and efficiently. I wish I'd gotten both their names, but I wasn't expecting to be writing this review.

UPDATE: I returned to the same JitB recently during the day shift. I placed my order and was almost out the door when I decided to stop and check to make sure my order was all there. The day shift manager was polite and asked if there wad something wrong, if there was anything missing... I told him no, that everything was fine. That mafe me think of this incident, so I asked him if there was any note about the incident. He went back to the office and was there for a few minutes. He came back and told me that no, there was nothing about it. He assured me he would look into it and asked for my number so he could Let me know what the results were. That was two or three weeks ago and I have NOT heard from him at all. This location will definitely NOT be getting any further information from us. We will drive out of our way to go to a different location rather than deal...

I would like to speak to a manager bout ur DM talking down on me n saying that I'm a violent person that's not okay. This manager has ruin my name from getting a job. He goes n tells other employees I'm no good that I'm this or that. I was the 1 who asked for help from MIKE he ignore me brushed me off n fires me a week later when all I wanted to do was work. There's no reason Mike should have fired me then saying I'm violet that's not okay. They send videos of the fight after everything happen. N I was asking for help to move me or to do something. I never put my hands on the gentleman. I have 4 kids that I need to provide for and Mike answer was to fire me. N tell me not to ever come back around. I believe Mike has a personal issue with me or IDK but I was the 1 asking for help to please move me but instead they let it escalate n now I have no job no money no home no food for my kids clothes,ECT

This is not okay. I don't deserve this. My kids suffer from the actions that Mike did. He didn't even care that this gentleman was harassing me thru the head phone set . Mike didn't do anything now the manager that hired me is no longer working there. Big surprise now Mike goes around talking bout me n saying I'm a bad person this is not okay. I don't even know Mike that well besides he a "Boss" more like he was looking for a reason to hurt me n my family....

We came here for some late night grub. I have no idea what sort of bomb went off in that place. When we got up to the drive thru speaker the guy helping us was frantic and stated that he needed some more time, I get it, they're busy. We order, we get up to pay and it looked like everyone was about have a panic attack. We got the wrong change back, our food was super wrong, and they didn't give us our drinks. We were directed to park to get the rest of our food. We sat for 10 minutes, in that time people were returning food and were trying to have their orders corrected. Then the other part of our food was brought out, they still forgot our drinks and he told us that he'd run in and grab them, 10 min later nothing. Boyfriend goes back in, he's ignored at the register. Even the guy who forgot our drinks looked at him multiple times and nothing. Finally one of the gals asks what he wanted to order, he explained how we were still missing our drinks and it was as if chaos had striked, no joke. He handed my boyfriend a book of coupons and said they were severally understaffed, even though it was 9PM with at least 9 people working. We get our drinks and food home finally, guess what? Food was cold, gross, fries were not cooked all the way, and it went straight...
