BEWARE... I was in the restaurant business for many years so there are a lot of things I will look beyond and give a pass on, for example on this visit our server did forget a few things but it's understandable because she was busy. HOWEVER you shouldn't have to ask prior to ordering if the menus are correct, and when you get your check and you show the discrepancy they should honor what the menu says without question. When the kids menu says meals are served with drinks and then you get charged $3 each for them and show the server the kids menu, they should honor that vs saying sorry it's probably not up to date. When the kids menu says the kids meals are $5.99 and you are charged $6.99 on your check they should honor the price in the menu instead of saying sorry it's not up to date. We also noticed that the menu says chips salsa and beans are complimentary however when we asked for the beans they said they weren't complimentary anymore. Guests absolutely don't mind paying for what they order but they don't like surprises and being nickel and dimed for something that wasn't disclosed ahead of time either in the menu or by the server or staff member. The saying "Underpromise and Overdeliver" goes very far in the restaurant business, "Bait and Switch" does not. Food was good. Staff was nice overall.

If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food, this isn’t the restaurant for you. The food was either flavorless or had too much of one seasoning—black pepper. The one thing that was great was the fast service, I think we ordered our food and within 5 mins the food was delivered which leads me to believe it might’ve been heated and pre made (not fresh). My husband had a tamale and burrito, my daughter had the mini corn dogs which were served burnt and too hot to eat. I had the shrimp ceviche which appeared to be salsa and a shrimp mix, with tons of black pepper. The waitress asked me if I didn’t like it and I explained to her (in Spanish) what was wrong and it had way too much black pepper I couldn’t eat it. She offered me something else and was apologetic. I let her know I appreciated her trying to make it right, but no thank you. I would not recommend this place especially if you’re looking for real fresh food with an authentic Mexican flavor. It is also over priced for the quantity and lack of quality.

Overall experience wasn’t bad. The waiter was polite but not very personable or sociable, accept right at the end of the meal. Service felt slightly forced. But it’s understandable because the waiter did have a couple of tables, but nothing too bad. The Food was decent, not bad but definitely not worth 22$ for a plate. The complimentary chips were actually really good, probably some of the best. And the salsa that came with them was very yummy. We did pay an extra $1.00 for the bean dip, but I wouldn’t recommend it it’s super watered down and lacks flavor. The rice and beans just were meh. Overall didn’t feel worth the bill, but if you wanna try it out I’d say go for it. We paid 45$ for two burritos. Which isn’t too bad of a price.

I have given them 2 shots. The first time my 2 girlfriends and I met early on A Friday afternoon for margaritas. We had just received our 2nd drink when the waitress became upset and pushy that we were NOT ordering food like we were taking up valuable space. Well, we didn't come for food. We came for Margarita's. So....we left, because we felt like they didn't want to serve us anything but food.

Last week on the 31st of Aug. we decided to meet for drinks again. We met at 3:45. The place was empty, except for maybe 2 tables. I arrived first and was seated by the bartender (no hostess around) clear in the back. After about 10 mins. I was finally greeted by a lady (not sure who she was, not the waitress) she brought chips and salsa. The bartender then realized I was sitting there alone (my friend was running late due to traffic and the other friend didn't come) and finally took my drink order. My friend arrived, we drank our margarita and talked for about a half an hour. Finally a waitress came and asked if we wanted to order in a very pushy voice (we had already discussed that they were going to expect us to eat like last time came there so we were just waiting for it) so we went ahead and ordered an appetizer each. I also placed a to go order for my husband at that time. The Bartender walked out to check on us and I said I we both wanted another margarita. About 20 minutes went by and the waitress asked if we wanted a box. I said sure, and that I was still waiting on my to go order. At that time the bartender peeked around the corner and pointed at me as if to see if I needed anything....uh, yeah, I ordered our 2nd round of margaritas 20 minutes ago, but since you haven't served them and the waitress is more interested in use EATING than DRINKING....apparently (since the place was still empty) this place is more concerned with serving food and not drinks! I could see them being concerned with us taking up space if we were not ordering anything at all....but If I am there to drink or eat...I am a paying customer. Don't FORCE me to eat if I am there for drinks! Also....Step up your service. I would have had at least 3 margaritas and my friend would have also if you had served them. Not ONCE did the waitress come check on us or ask if we needed anything else. So not only did you lose business that day, but you have lost...

I go to this restaurant at least 10 times annually and have never had a single complaint. The service is amazing, the prices are reasonable, the food is great, and the beer is cold.

When you enter the restaurant you get the vibe of an authentic Mexican restaurant. In no time, you are greeted by the hostess who shows you to your seat and the server shows up not much later with the menus, chips and salsa, and asks what you would like to drink.

As you begin to look at the menu and the awesome selection of food on it, you notice that their prices are pretty even with other restaurants, but that’s about the only thing average.

Your server comes out in what seems like seconds later with your drink and takes your order. The server leaves as normal and you are left with the wonderful scenery of a Mexican restaurant with sports playing on one of many tvs to pass the time while you wait for your order.

Not long later the server comes back with your food and gets you anything else you may need before embarking on a journey with your taste buds. During your feast, the server comes back continually to check on you and make sure you have everything needed for a great eating experience.

Once you get the check, your server quickly comes to grab your payment so you are not left waiting forever.

All in all, the food is amazing and so is the service. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is a Mexican food aficionado.

Side note, the California Burrito with...

I have been a patron at Jalapenos for years, never have I had such a horrible experience as I did this evening. Our waitress was terrible. Slow, not putting in orders and had to get the management involved to even get our bill when the meal was over. Then the fun began. The bill was wrong. We had arrived at happy hour so our drinks were half price. They attempted to charge us for 3 margaritas when we only had two and tried to charge us for premium mixed drinks "jack and coke" when only well were ordered. When the manager was asked if they use Jack Daniels as their well whiskey we were told no, however that is what they were trying to charge us for. We tried to get the manager to understand this and she brought back a revised receipt. The problem? The revised ticket was the same total as the original ticket. When trying to explain that it still wasn't right, she revised again and repeatedly kept saying "Your getting a heck of a deal". We weren't looking for a deal, we were looking to be charged for what we ordered, not what we didn't order. Seems to me the waitress or the manager or both were trying to pad their ticket. In the end she comped our entire meal, not what we were trying to have happen at all. I know the owner of Jalapenos and feel bad that I will never again be a patron at this establishment. My suggestion? Look at your bill before you pay it, chances are your paying for something you didn't order!!!!! Very...
