McCleary's Pub — Restaurant in Garden City

I went there yesterday night for st. Paddy’s day and everything was good until the bartender decided to yell at me and say that he was refusing service because I didn’t tip him. He said I come every week and don’t tip… I’ve only been there 3 times. I have my receipts from the 3 times I’ve been there and I’ve tipped those 3 times! Not only did he accuse me but decided to get aggressive and yell at me in front of everyone. I always bring cash to tip at the end of the night depending on how the service was. The other bartender said it’s a lesson I should learn because I should tip every drink I get instead of waiting till the end of the night. All the other customers who were there and witnessed what happened were shocked of how unprofessional he was. How I said I have proof that I’ve only been there 3 times so he had no right to treat me like that. I don’t know how the owner can stand for this behavior, the bartenders are refusing to make money for the bar unless they get tipped right away. I hope the owner does something about this situation because if not it really shows how much they care about their customers. I hope the owner keeps in mind that if the bar is losing money it’s for a reason and if there’s a lot of similar bad reviews ITS FOR A REASON! I’m not %100 sure but the bartenders name is...

I'm a family man with a wife who deserves a night off, In my family we were always taught to respect everyone, I went out tonight and came to this place, When I arrived and entered I had a good experience, the place was full and with a good atmosphere. When we arrived and sat down in the canteen, there were two women, one of them attended to us 35 minutes after her partner served us earlier, When we asked for the service, she treated us very badly, she said the word to us after 37 minutes, He served us our drinks in the same glass, I describe this bartender by her red hair, I hope and watch the video. 3/17/23 8:55 to 10:25, we left this place because of the bad treatment thanks to his partner who took good care of us' I know that she lacked experience but she never forgot us, I waited longer just for her, When we got out of there and waited for an uber, we learned more about similar experiences of more people like us through the driver, I hope and measures are taken to continue...

It's a neighborhood bar. It may look a bit rough on the outside, but I assure you the interior is warm with an aesthetically pleasing decor. Don't let the exterior prevent you from enjoying a pleasant evening. There's a few video poker machines, two or three pool tables, and a pinball machine. While I was there, the music ranged from Metallica & Lynyrd Skynyrd to the Black Eyed Peas and Van Morrison. My whisky sour was very affordable and nice and stiff: no watered down drinks here, boys. The prices certainly beat the downtown Boise bar scene. I can also say that the regulars here are friendly and seemed interested in seeing a new face. There's a nice little patio that allows for smoking. Most importantly, however: the bar keep was polite and knew his stuff. My only gripe is that the parking area isn't lined, which causes people to park in odd patterns. This means that somebody is always gonna be parked to close to something.
