We have been loyal La Z Boy customers for over 30 years and it pains me to have to leave this review, but other buyers need to be aware. We had a wonderful associate and shopping experience. We took delivery of two matching chairs and an ottoman a few months ago--the one pictured is a swivel rocker, the other is stationary. It took 9 months to manufacture and we understood this due to Covid. What we didn't know is that these chairs would be markedly different from our many previous purchases. The arms of the chairs and the top of the ottoman looked wrinkled, as though they just didn't have enough foam in them--I hope it shows up in the photo. The corner seams did not perfectly match every corner. The swivel rocker pitched forward when you sat in it. Guests would move to a different chair after a few minutes--we just didn't sit in it. The local service department was very responsive and sent someone out to assess. He ended up having to have them taken back (twice) to try to tighten down the fabric, and resolve the issues. I told him the foam felt different, cheaper, and that our 13 year old La Z Boy ottoman looked and felt better than this new one. His only comment was that he did not doubt that, and that likely due to Covid they were seeing many of these issues, as were all furniture stores. I understand that, but we paid La Z Boy price and expected La Z Boy quality. The ottoman top feels like a hard square of foam (not plush) and sits loosely on top of the base; after your heels rest on it for a while an impression remains--so disappointing. The service department did their best and the arms look much better, but still show some signs of wrinkling after use. The ottoman is unchanged. I appreciate all their efforts, but I told the service manager that I would likely file a complaint with headquarters. He told me I could certainly do that, but that the issues were now within acceptable limits and it would likely go nowhere. Again--we have La Z Boy all over our house and have NEVER had an issue. Read moreHorrible experience!! We ordered a couch and chair and were told it would be 8-12 weeks. A bit long, but we understood that things are going a bit slower due to COVID. We ordered our furniture in May, moved into our new home in June (yep, no furniture in our living room). Close to the end of June, I received a call saying the color we picked out had been discontinued, and we would need to come pick out another. There were no other option even close to the color we originally chose. So we decided to go with 2 different colors for each piece, and they happened to be an upgraded fabric, so it was additional $. Last weekend, we finally received our furniture (a month over due) and one of the items was the wrong color. We are now still waiting for our chair. Our sales rep was so unconcerned about all the set backs we had that she really upset me. I had to request that we not pay extra for the fabric as compensation, to which the did agree to refund the amount for the chair, since it was Incorrect upon delivery(which was the error of the sales rep putting in the incorrect info for our order). We have not been compensated accordingly in my opinion. There has been nothing but screwup after screwup, and we have been without furniture for 4 months and had to put off events at our new home. Read moreI needed a ottoman for my chair to help me relax. The chair it was for was no longer made by the manufacturer, so I decided to order one. Danae was very kind and patient helping me find just the right fabric for an ottoman. I was having a problem visualizing how the fabric would look with the chair and rug. She picked fabric after fabric dismissing without a hestation anything I questioned. We took the fabric of the chair and for the ottoman into the light, we put them on the computer for a digital visualization, and I took fabric home to put in front of the chair. After two days of rummaging through fabrics, I was close to picking one. Last minute my sister told me to check fb. I found a used ottoman of the same style and manufacturer as my chair for a fraction of the cost of a new one. I felt horrible telling Danae when she worked so hard and I had bought a different ottoman. She was nothing but excited for me. She was thrilled I found the ottoman that matched my chair!
