After searching for a new place to try I came across Pastaloni and all the amazing reviews everyone else left, so I had to try it. Everything was so good and you can tell it’s all made with fresh ingredients. We started with the eggplant rolls, which were pretty tasty, the sauce they’re baked in is very flavorful and the cheese was so gooey and melty. I don’t see the name of my dish on the online menu but it was chicken with broccoli in a cream sauce and it was delicious. The cream sauce had such full flavor but wasn’t heavy at all. I got 3 pieces of chicken, broccoli, some carrots and pasta. My one piece of chicken towards the end was a little tough and the chef offered to remake the entire meal, I said that wasn’t necessary seeing as I ate almost everything else and it was great, so we settled on making a fresh new piece of chicken and it was perfect. My fiancé got the tagliatelle pomodoro and at first he wasn’t sure if he’d like the asparagus in a tomato sauce but he tried it anyways and cleaned his plate. The sauce had such a good balance between tomato and creamy. Both meals came with a side salad, looks smaller than some places but between that and the fresh bread and homemade garlic butter you still had enough room for your entree without feeling overly stuffed. The ranch and corn in the salad was a great pairing. And if I could buy a bucket of the homemade butter I would, the only thing with the bread and butter was the butter came out really cold and was a little hard to spread on the bread bc the bread was so soft and fresh. I would definitely recommend this place and we will definitely back. Also, I loved how the chef came around to the tables asking how everything was. I would love to see this place get the recognition and foot traffic...
Read moreIt was date night for the girlfriend and I and we couldn't decide where to go so I remembered hey there's a new spot in the neighborhood we should check it out. I hopped on Google saw the pictures of the inside and thought this might not be fancy enough for an official date night but that's where I was wrong. I walked in and the place was empty and I got a tad nervous yet again because although I will woof down just about anything she on the other hand is picky about a few things. After we were seated I felt slightly uncomfortable because the menu was fancy but I didn't feel as though I had to be dressed in my best to be here. As we waited they kicked into the perfect wingman mode lol....they turned the romantic music on.... the chef sent over a few items for us to try and every single bit of everything I ate was fantastic! I got the shrimp she got steak and for the first time in 13 years I watched my girlfriend eat every bite she put in her mouth lol...and she added not a single seasoning. It's very rare nowadays to go out to a place and feel like the place genuinely cares...so I say....if you have kids who are getting older and need a local spot to take their dates....if you want to support local business....if you want amazing food at a fair price....or if you just want to try something new..check out Pastaloni! I will be a recurring customer and I'm extremely confident that if you give it a...
Read moreI was impressed by the other reviews so I ordered out... I have to say I was pretty disappointed, while the portions are large I felt like both dishes we got were flavorless. The Mac and Cheese arrived super dry with no sauce and it just tasted like buttered noodles, the chicken had no seasoning what so ever but at least there was a good amount of it. For something that was supposed to have four different cheeses, I didn't taste even one. Also ordered a kid Alfredo and asked for extra sauce which did appear to have sauce, I'm a little nervous what it would have been like had we not asked for that. Again, flavorless...not sure if they didn't add much flavor or seasoning because it was a kid's version but when I tried it, pasta was just so bland. I've had real Italian food, you taste the cheese and garlic but literally this pasta sauce was so underwhelming. I didn't even get hits that it had salt and/or pepper. Noodles were at least cooked perfect but total miss on the sauces. Also Garlic Bread was a miss too, while there were herbs.... totally didn't have any garlic to it.. seemed instead of garlic butter like the menu said it was herbs and oil. Super disappointed...
