Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Garden City

I want to be clear that I generally love Popeyes, and frequent my home locations regularly, but this location and staff were the worst experience I've ever had. It started with waiting in the drive through line for 10 minutes before being acknowledged, then, after waiting 7 more minutes in front of the window, being told to 'go pull up its gonna be a minute'. My order was two 5 piece chicken strip meals, and an apple pie, not something off the the wall.

TWENTY MINUTES LATER(I took photos of the clock and the receipt because I didn't believe it had been so long) , someone came out and brought our meals, without the drinks. A single car had been served behind me during this wait, and there were more in line.

The employee went to get the drinks, and returned with two large cups (a bonus I guess since the meal came with small drinks) that were each HALF full of the beverages.

I mentioned that we were also missing our apple pie, and we waited another two minutes to have that brought to us, with no apology or explanation of the delay.

When parked at the window, I observed one of the employees (probably the manager, as she wasn't taking orders or cooking) laughing and playing with her phone, in clear view of me waiting for the food.

This location needs a visit from corporate, and some training and education on how to manage the customer experience, as well as how to apologize or acknowledge when a mistake is made. This was a horrible experience, and someone needs to correct...

I ordered the 10 piece Family meal with fries and 2 apple pies. The young lady at the window told me to pull forward after I paid. The person behind me, pulled beside me and pickup truck pulled into a parking spot to prevent blocking traffic. As I sat approximately 30 minutes waiting, I noticed that everyone including the person next to me had their order and drove off. The young man that brought the food to the car next to me said that they were waiting on apple pies that he dropped 8 minutes prior. The gentleman in the truck went inside to get his order. I got out and went inside to ask what's going on. The same young man said t"they fixing it now. I stated that should have happened over 30 minutes ago. The manager prepared my order not bothering to look my way or apologize for the wait or nothing She had a stank face like she had something smart to say. Instead of handing me my order, she gives it to the young lady at the window to hand to me, who by the way took the order and didn't apologize for the wait either. It's all good, never again will I go back there. In fact, I appreciate the experience as it reminded me to cook my own food. And did I mention she shorted...

Visited there for lunch and after placing my order I was told that the fryer was not working and that I could substitute fries for Mac-n-cheese or salad or something else. I requested to have my fries substituted for a kale salad. When I drove up to get my order I realized after getting my receipt that I had been charged for substituting the fries. I asked the young lady about it and she explained that even though I was allowed to substitute that item for another, that they had to up charge for substituting the fries for a small kale salad. I explained to the young lady, that was not explained to me before I purchased my food, had I'd been told that I may not have substituted the fries. My feeling was that when I was told substitute, that I was able to change this item in place of another without being charged, but the young lady explained that was not the case. I had to pay extra for substituting. I felt that by not disclosing that information to customers before they purchased their order, that it was being deceitful to the customer.
