Sunny Side Up — Restaurant in Garden City

After one incredible tex mex omelette (I'm from Dallas, She's from Savannah) …..I was blown away FRESH JALAPEÑOS!! East of the Mississippi?!..ai ai ai.....did the soup and salad bar the NEXT day....not massive...but everything you need to be able to make a great salad is there and done well. Even the tuna salad was great ,(bit of salt is all it needed) and tuna salads are notoriously iffy place to place.... The "soups"..... Chicken and dumplings! And Chilli!.....those could be stand alone meals in themselves! Slap you momma good. And NO BEANS....just like a good TEXAS red chilli SHOULD be. And great depth of flavor that even el wifo, (a known heat weenie) was in love with. Add your red onion and cheese's and peppers to your liking. Da#m good........so the NEXT day.. (and I have almost NEVER gone to the same restaurant THREE days in a ROW)....I went alone and sat at the stools facing the open kitchen line, and not only was I thinking that I was at an tepenaki place.....these guys work was and with FLAIR.,..and turn it into a fun time. Flipping and frying with one spat....cracking dozens of eggs one handed at the speed of light! Service was spot on, last drink refill is always in a to go cup without asking......and I have seen many of the same chain in the area , and I'm talking about the Augusta rd location, but the price's (compared to Dallas or downtown) are more than fair....and I can't wait for the next week when wife wants her waffle fix, to try the waffle bowl's next time. No words to explain this restaurant completely but I'll try with...... EXCELLENT! We ate breakfast there. Greeted upon entering. Told to have a seat wherever we liked. They were busy so it took a few mins to have a server come to our table. Once there she nad eus feel like we were the only ones in the room. She helped the kids (12 y/o, 10 y/o, & 7 y/o) order there food. You could tell she was a kid lover. We got our food and it was AMAZING! Oh my goodness! We literally just stood here in front of everyone while the tables were dirty for about 8 minutes. Instead of cleaning there’s 2 free people just organizing doing nothing basically lol… they finally clean a table, we sit and wait another 8 minutes for a menu while the waitress is helping 2 different groups of people who came in so long after us. She then comes to us with the worst attitude while all waitress were complaining, being negative, and having attitudes. She takes our drink order. 3 waters.
