Saigon's Corner Restaurant — Restaurant in Garden City

• I had pictures of the filth and they keep deleting them. I'm not a person that is overly worried about cleanliness. I normally would say they're busy or they will get to it soon but this was beyond that. *

My first review was this: I enjoy the food and the sense of a "neighborhood café" that you get when entering.

** Edit to say that a month ago I came in and the cleanliness has definitely went down hill it's absolutely grimmy! That time my sandals wanted to stay on the floor, the ceiling tiles are so dirty around the vents that they are black there. The waiter is on his phone so much that he doesn't see to your needs. I don't think the ceiling fans have ever been wiped off. Maybe I was having a bad day and they were too, I may give them one more chance...

• So I gave it a month and decided to try once again... only because the other Vietnamese restaurant in town was Closed by the time my appointment was over.... soo the ceiling, fans, walls still filthy. The floor was actually not sticky. I ordered the spring rolls and #13 meal. To be honest Sam's has better spring rolls than this time, normally i love them here, and my shrimp on my meal was one lone prawn, the egg rolls that were in the meal, were extremelygreasy. The rest of the food in the bowl was good. Those two dishes and a water cost me 19 dollars.

I started going here last summer. The customer service was great at the time the prices and the portions were spot on! The last 2 or 3 visits have not been as great. I normally get the number 16 pork chop with extra rice and extra sunny side up egg. I normally paid about 12 dollars for this plate and honestly felt the restaurant was pretty generous considering the portions. The last couple times I’ve been disappointed the last time I was charged $18 the price is never consistent and neither are the portions.the pork chop I got today was so tiny and shredded up almost like the restaurant was purposely trying to be stingy. The rice was hard and not like it used to be. I got 1 shrimp on my plate almost thought it was a joke. The waitress was super busy and I felt pretty bad for her she was picking up phones ringing and trying to take orders and ring up customers at the same time. The cook forgot to give me my extra sunny side up egg again the second time in a row they forget. I praised this restaurant on Facebook when somebody was giving another restaurant bad review and recommended it to everyone giving positive comment. I’d hate for this place to go down hill and close down this is how it usually starts. The food is amazing I may come back I may not...

We ordered the Chef Special #18- crispy noodle beef curry fresh spring rolls Milk tea- (so sweet, if you have sweet tooth, will be good for you)

It is very delicious! I enjoyed the crispy noodle so much, very original asian taste! This is a must try when you go to this restaurant!

The service was very good! We didnt wait for too long for the food to be served!

I am rating this restaurant 4⭐ because i want them to up their game. Their food is no doubt very delicious and as well as the excellent service however, the place looks dated. This can be a very good place for asian food and i am sure they they can get more customers if they make some renovations.

I feel that it is a bit pricey because it doesnt equate the place i am dining. Not a big issue for me but can be a big factors for others.

So if you are an asian food lover and don't mind dining on a bit dated restaurant, this is a very very good...
