FINALLY A GOOD MEXICAN TAQUERIA IN TV!!! I'm not sure if this has been reviewed much, but everyone needs to go ASAP! I've been wanting to stop by Tacos Loteria for a while. We went over Labor Day, but they were closed, so we went back tonight and I am SOOOO glad we did. The food is amazing, fresh, and flavorful (unlike most Idaho Mexican food)! They don't give you chips and salsa with the no-flavor beans to start; it's a nacho platter! I was so excited that we started eating before I took pictures. We shared the Ceviche tostada. It could be a meal in itself. It was so good, fresh, and tangy! So dang good! My picky son had the tacos (plain) with rice, he loved it said this is his new favorite taqueria. It wasn't on the menu, but I got the quesabirria tacos. I swear I saw them on Yelp. My husband got a mixed taco plate with pastor and chorizo. He said they were both really good. You can see the pineapple in his pastor tacos, even! The rice and beans were ok, I thought the rice was a little bland myself. They have a buffet on weekends. I didn't see the kids' price, but it's $22 for adults. All this food was around $40, so not only delicious, but they don't charge you an arm and a leg. I had to ask where they were from, because I knew it wasn't here, our lovely waitress said Mexico City and Oaxaca! You must try them, you WILL NOT BE SORRY!!

Fantastic tacos from start to finish. They come in two hot, oily, soft corn tortillas - not soggy, not dry, not crispy... just right. They don't taste like they were made there or anything amazing, but for bagged corn tortillas they are prepared well. All tacos topped with cilantro and onion, plus grilled onions, radishes, limes and a chile on the side. Green and red salsa, neither were super impressive but they were fine. I tried Carnitas, Adobada, Chorizo and Al Pastor. Carnitas and Pastor were great! Carnitas was both juicy and crispy and most of all delicious. The Al Pastor was really good, though very juicy (pretty much Adobada with pineapple) but finger licking good. The other tacos were all good as well. I saw lamb Birria but they were out, I'll definitely try that next time. No idea why they got such a low average- I saw one really bad review by a guy that said the rice was junk... if you're hitting up a taco truck for rice... 🤷🏼‍♂️ Prices right, good portion, great taco truck!

Was in business in Meridian this afternoon so thought I would check out this tacos place I have been reading about. This is a transition for them as they normally do the food truck thing. It was a bit sparse but they will put up items to make it there own I am sure. Got nachos instead of chips and salsa and that was a nice difference. It was approx 4pm when we got there and they had sold out of the tamales but that is to be figured again as this is a transition to brick and mortar. I ordered the tacos, beans and rice combo. The rice was great, the beans were a bit loose. The carnita street tacos were alright but not worth a trip from south east Boise at rush hour traffic for sure.

✨️Tasty yes, quality yes, absolute fire yes✨️ It's my favorite taco place in the Idaho area. I even get extra spicy sauce sometimes. It's also the only spicy salsa that is somewhat close to Taqueria Reynosa, in terms of spicy level. Back in OdessaTx...that level of spicy hot is honestly dangerous. IK from experience, I had to stop eating at Taqueria Reynosa to let my stomach heal for a whole 2 months, it felt like eons. But it was my fault I was trying to break my spicy level and increase my tolerance, and my own generous hand heaping on the spicy sauce. Anyways, in the North THAT level of spice I have yet to find... but hey, Tacos Loteria is perfect, im very happy with it, while I'm here. Which is a such a blessing! They do explain the salsas, and they r optional, I always get the spiciest one and the avocado...
