Used to think it was the best place, but they have gone way downhill. was put off by the signs that say that if you pile it too high, they will charge you $2 extra, when they charge ENOUGH! I watched all the eyes that were making sure I didn't and you could feel them thinking, "should I charge her extra?" My friends that came felt it as well. I had to track down someone to get us rice... none was offered, and when asked, the comment was, "I saw you had noodles." Well I did, but not a lot, and besides that, "Was this woman the Carb police?" I came with one person that had already eaten, but wanted to give her a few bites of my meal and when I asked for an extra fork, she informed me I could not share. What do they think people do with their leftovers? What's the difference? I paid for the huge bowl, almost $12 and it was MOSTLY cabbage! That takes up a LOT of room and cooks down. To finish off I have to say, I asked when they stopped offering rice and I was polite about it, but she could tell I thought that was really bad customer service. I literally had to track someone down to bring rice. Ridiculous! Then as I was leaving with our huge amount of leftovers, I asked for bags. She gave me one, but it was obvious she was irritated with me and didn't want to give me an extra CHEAP bag. As a business owner who has paid for those bags, I know how little they cost. She made it clear by her passive aggressive attitude how much she did not...
Read moreI love this restaurant and have been eating here for well over 15 years. I'll start with the positives: the hostess and wait staff are impeccable with their service. After a 2 year absence, the hostess greeted me by name when I entered. I was impressed and flattered. They are attentive and have never given any impression of unprofessional behavior. I adore their wait staff. The ingredients are diverse and tasty. There is a decent selection of sauces and the preparation area is kept clean. The cost is pretty affordable. Now the negative, and it's a big issue for me: the grill cooks! They're so passive aggressive and are always making snide comments in english, then continue their conversation in their native language. I admit that I build a veritable mountain of gluttony, I love their food. I'm not suggesting they speak english, America is called the melting pot for a reason, but I detest their petty behavior. I always tip well because I know I'm eating a lot, but I don't appreciate snide comments like, "not making money on this one." If it is such an issue then speak to me in a professional manner about it, I'll listen, or post a damn sign. Passive aggressive verbal pot shots are petty and unprofessional. One of these times they're going to get a bowl of hot delicious noodles thrown at them. Hopefully I won't be the culprit, but the cooks behavior that needs to...
Read moreused to frequent this place before the pandemic, lately my meals from here have been...lack-luster... in fact, last time I went here, one of the chef's kept gesturing to my food, saying something about my noodles, I could not understand anything he was saying but the word noodles, this alone was not enough to knock even a star off my rating as my noodles were kinda all over the place (some nearly went into the sauce, I did catch this though) I was friendly as I could be and even dropped a few dollars into the tip jar, in return he washed all the sauce off my food, all of it, plus he charged me for being over the fill limit (may have been, but only because of the noodles, and not by much) I didn't even eat all of it. threw away about half
tl:dr chef made my food bland and overcharged me for the experience, not...
