China Wok — Restaurant in Garden Grove

The food is good I've been coming here for over 10 years. The previous owners I would have to say were a little bit better and they hired really good people. Maybe once here and there they hired someone that wasn't very friendly. But with the new owners all the people they've hired either extremely hate their job or something causes them to act the way they do when they're working because the Hispanic lady that was working around 3:45pm on August 6th didn't greet me. She bluntly asked me what do I want, how many items? and that was it. She rang me up and saw that I didn't tip her and while I was waiting for my egg flour soup I was watching her the whole time and she eyed my soup that was sitting on the cooks window sill 2 times and decided to take out the trash and go to the back instead of giving me my food because she saw that I didn't tip her. The Asian man that was working was really helpful and nice and very kind to all the other customers. But each customer she had, She didn't greet them either nor tell them have a nice day at the end of their transaction. Nothing. I walked in and was pretty impressed that this place was so clean! I was greeted by the male employee with a friendly smile when I walked in. Initially walked in because I’ve been craving honey walnut shrimp, which isn’t always available at these types of take-out places. When I asked about it, he told me that they not only had it, they make it FRESH TO ORDER. You can either order a large or have it part of the combo.

The rest food under the lamp looked very fresh so I ended up getting a two item combo with half and half rice/chow mein. Broccoli beef was nice and not too starchy/salty, honey walnut shrimp maintained its crunch in the sauce, and fried rice/chow mein had decent flavor without being oily. They have online ordering on their website; however, I was in and out in 5 minutes (even after preparing my shrimp separately). This will be my new go-to for Chinese takeout on my drive home from work!...

Someone needs to update restaurant info, it seems alot has changed. NOTHING is made fresh as the menu in the picture claims. So yes, the orange chicken, along with others, is soggy, not crispy. Showed up right before dinner rush (5pm) and was greeted by an older woman who did not seem happy to be there and had trouble understanding me. Even though it was right before the dinner rush, the fried rice was cold and tasteless, the Orange chicken was soggy, the teriyaki chicken tasted like el pollo loco, not teriyaki and the egg rolls were cold. I asked for a menu to take home since all the info I saw online is wrong or outdated but they dont have menus. I wont be wasting my time...
