Le Kitchen Pho and Rice — Restaurant in Garden Grove

Bad service and food isn't all that good. Waiter takes there time. Walks off during ordering several times. Does not get drinks unless you ask. Utensil bins always empty. Orders forgotten. We had a group sitting and everyone got their plate except for one person. Waiter doesn't come back to check. After everyone gets close to finishing, we ask where the last order was. Appearanlty, they never made it. Waiters do not check, owners laugh it off and place is empty. Should have known that if no one is inside, that means it's probably a bad place to begin with. The pho place down by the lights was way better with great service. Plus, reviews for every other place around there have way more ratings. And for good reasons. Never...

The exterior doesn’t look like much but the interior gives off a western diner feel and the plating is definitely western inspired. I got a rice dish with marinated pork and it was so good. Being a Vietnamese-American, I was afraid the taste would be lost in the fusion style but I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I think the owner spoke with me and my friend and she’s a really sweet woman. My friend got the stir fry noodle with shaken beef (mì xào với bò lúc lắc) and it was pretty good too! Nice simple place to get your Vietnamese cravings on. Their stuff is solid. Had the banh mi chao before and that was just filling enough, would have liked more but delicious as well. This time pork chop and egg rolls were ordered. I really liked their dishes. Pork chop tastes like bbq/marinated pork you would get from banh mi’s, which is a good. Also the egg rolls here are unique as it has more of a craggily crispy all around texture instead of the typical one layer/dimension. It had fried bubble crisps like as if blistered throughout, was quite wonderful. Would recommend stopping by here and ordering any of their dishes. The dish I should and want to try next time...
