The food here is decent, although I sort of expected my omelette to be better considering the place is called Omelette House. My girlfriend and I have eaten here a number of times and never been super impressed.
If you're looking for a big variety of different dishes to choose from, this isn't really the place to go. That's not unexpected though, so not really a bad thing.
What is is truly atrocious about Omelette House is the service. First of all, expect to wait a while just to sit down, due to how slow they are in clearing tables and bringing checks. When you do get seated, you can expect to wait 10 minutes just get asked what you want to drink.
After getting your food, your waiter might check back with you once, but probably won't. When you want to leave, you're going to have to flag someone down to get your check and last time we were there it took them at least five minutes to bring it after we asked, even though we were sitting 2 steps from the register.
The waiters seem super nice, but they just don't seem to know how to give good service. Also, it seems like this place could benefit from having a host and a busser or two. Instead it's just 2 waiters doing everything, so even if they tried to give better service, they probably couldn't.
Ultimately, while the food isn't bad, it's just not good enough to be worth dealing with the...
Read moreI came here for breakfast with a friend at 10 AM on a Wednesday. The place had a cozy small-town feel — No frills, just a few wooden tables in a modest lil' restaurant. My friend and I were immediately greeted by a really nice waiter, who took our drink orders and provided recommendations from the menu. I asked if they used fruit or powder in their smoothies, to which he replied, "we use both". I ordered a mango banana smoothie which looked way better than it tasted; It had a weird artificial candy flavor. My friend ordered orange juice, which he also said did not taste good. Fortunately, however, the food was alright! My Tasso omelette was as expected, hearty and filled with chunks of meat, and the home style fries (potatoes) were soft and filling. The waiter frequently checked up on us, refilling waters and jam appropriately as needed. I give this place 3 stars because although the entrees were good and our initial server was kind, the drinks were terrible and there was a bug in my water that another worker didn't seem too apologetic about. Also, $21 (before tip) for breakfast is a bit steep. Would I come back here again? Maybe. But also, there are other diners around that could...
Read moreGreat place near my house, been here a couple times. Came with my girlfriend around 11:30 am and it was about a ten minute wait. They don't really have a waiting area so you just kind of have to sit outside or stand and it was raining but luckily their roof comes over. Besides the place being a little old looking and kind of small it was very comfortable. The staff there is very kind and know the regulars which make it more personal. The food is delicious and they have a large selection of both food and drinks. Obviously they specialize in omelettes but have other items there as well and lots of sides. They also have a lot of coffee options and other drinks so you never feel like you're running out of options for food or drinks. Unfortunately they only have one bathroom but since the place is small it's okay, and they keep it very clean. Overall a really good experience and I recommend this place, and it's a little hidden so it's almost like a secret haha. I would say only downside is that they have a small, hole in the wall type building but they make the best out of it and are very kind...
