Was it mind blowing, no. But would I go back, yes. If you’re craving specifically this dish, then it’ll satisfy you. I honestly felt like I could’ve ate all 10 for myself though. My friend and I split the set, and we actually ordered another one but the server didn’t understand us or something. He clearly acknowledged us ordering again, but nothing came and when we gave up waiting, asked for the check and they didn’t even have the 2nd order on there at all.
Definitely join the Yelp waitlist beforehand! So many ppl waiting forever. We joined the waitlist while finishing up errands and didn’t have to wait much longer after we got there.
The rice noodle sheets are yummy. Their sauce is really good! The crispy pork is bland but had crispy skin. The lemongrass pork was the best protein. And the pork meatloaf strips were as expected. They also give you barely enough Thai basil for each roll. I got the mango lychee tea, I enjoyed it, not too sweet and very refreshing. Their Vietnamese coffee was decent!
And if you sit near the booths on the left side of the restaurant when it’s full, prepare for it to be super loud. So loud from everyone talking that me and my friend had to yell to talk to each other adding to the crazy loudness.
Parking - it’s an open free parking lot. Gets busy but it’s a...
Read moreQuan Nhi serves authentic Vietnamese cuisine that goes beyond the usual pho and banh mi. We’ve visited this restaurant a few times now and had a variety of dishes. Mostly recently, we tried the Banh uot. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that sets the tone for a truly enjoyable dining experience.
The restaurant itself is spacious, with plenty of room between tables perfect for both intimate meals and larger gatherings. They have Vietnamese pictures on the walls. It is a comfortable place to sit down and enjoy a leisurely meal without feeling rushed or crowded.
The banh uot is a rice noodles dish that is freshly made, just the right texture - delicate and slightly chewy without being too sticky or dry.
We also tried a few side dishes and drinks, and everything was spot-on. The staff was more than happy to explain the dishes to those unfamiliar with it.
Service was fast, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. Our server checked in just the right amount, made thoughtful recommendations, and ensured we had everything we needed throughout the meal.
In a city full of Vietnamese restaurants, this one is a must try. If you haven’t had bánh ướt before, this is absolutely the place to try it.
Highly recommended. We’ll...
Read moreOverall value to the what's being served would be more of a 3/5 stars, but it's the fact that I love bánh ướt as it reminds me a lot of bánh cuốn that I bumped it an extra star. It's simple and refreshing meal that doesn't make it feel bloated or greasy at the end of the meal. The service was friendly and efficient, our waitress offered many recs to us when we were ordering and was all smiles.
Just the value of things does get expensive though. Thankfully I don't eat alot so one order was more than enough, but my partner and all my guy friends were still hungry after their first tower. Each tower is about $20 with a small dish of protein. It would've taken 2-3 towers for them to get full, but that's easily $60 and really steep for something as simple as bánh ướt.
The wait gets pretty gnarly during peak hours (over an hour wait), especially since the store is small and can't seat that many people so I definitely wouldn't recommend bringing large groups here. Parking is also difficult since the spaces are small and plaza has so many delicious options that it draws a lot of people into the plaza that the parking lot gets overwhelmed...
