In the same plaza as T&K Market, this dessert shop always had a long time extending out the door. We finally had a chance to try it when a friend took us there. Not speaking the language nor familiar with the Vietnamese desserts, we observed which ones were the most purchased items and followed suit. We grabbed quite a variety of different items despite not knowing the names/ingredients. That was quite an adventure, and the gamble paid off. Everything tasted delicious! There were rice cake stuff, che, sweet rice, and much more!
Service is typical as expected in any Asian shop. It's a cash only, to go place, so the décor is nothing fancy. They have a lot of variety of desserts, so either bring a big appetite or few friends to share the treats. Line is ridiculously long, but the good/authentic desserts are worth the wait. If you don't speak the language, just point to what looks good to you. Glad to find this...
Read moreThis place has the most authentic Vietnamese chè/dessert that you can ever get anywhere! And definitely a dream for people that have a sweet tooth. We came here because every single person we met recommended this place, and they were not wrong. They have a wide selection of different types of chè, so we had to try many of them. All items that we chose were really good and well-balanced with the sweetness. The coconut milk that comes with chè was absolutely perfect.
I highly recommend khoai mì chà bông, bánh bò, cốm dẹp, khoai mì sợi. My family members also loved other chè that they have. We like these so much that we had to come back for a second time the last day of our trip. The only thing is their wait time could be very long, and there will always be a long line here. And also, they only take cash so come prepared!
I definitely recommend this place and will be back whenever I’m...
Read moreWe went here to get the deep fried banana. There is always a huge line of people here and this must be an indicator that the deserts here are good.
I am not that familiar with Che. I wish I was. There is a huge variety to chose from. So many textures and colors we are not accustomed to.
Service is ok and I got 4 pieces of the fried banana for $2.00 . each piece is half a banana. Price is therefore very cheap.
It tasted OK, but they sit out for a long time. Subtle flavors indicate there is much more to this than just battering it and frying it. Perhaps if it were fresh it would be a lot better. With a scoop of vanilla ice cream and if i t were hot it would be awesome. They didn't use ripe bananas which was good so it was not...
