I was sceptical to go to this pupuseria after the bad quality of food a experience I had a couple of years ago but I'm glad I gave them a second chance. Their cook must have changed because their pupusas are amazing now! Every tiny crevice in that circle from heaven is filled with gooey cheese and perfectly seasoned refried beans. Unfortunately for me I can never eat more than one because they are big and quite filling. The price for pupusas last I checked was between 2.25 and 2.50 depending on the fillings. If you're feeling adventurous and want to try something other than the pupusas try their chicken soup. They ask you if you want the chicken inside the soup or grilled. When you ask for it grilled they serve it on the side grilled with some rice along with a couple of hand made tortillas. Now a note on their drinks, they are a little on the sweet side but you can always ask for a cup of ice on the side and water it down. My favorite drink is their ensalada. It's a fruit punch with small pieces of cut up apple, pineapple and cashew fruit (marañon) along with others that I couldn't quite recognize but are delicious nonetheless. If you order the horchata don't expect mexican horchata which is made from rice. Their horchata has more of a chocolate taste and is equally...
Read moreThis place is absolutely disgusting! It's extremely filthy and doesn't look like they have deep cleaned the entire restaurant in a very long time. The owners must be frugal and don't want to hire a cleaning crew. Besides the awful service and subpar food they don't have refills on horchatas and wanted me to pay $5 for an entire drink. Their pupusas were alright, nothing special, the rice was terrible with too much salt. Cleanliness is very important when eating at an establishment. I don't know how they have passed the health inspections. The staff also didn't look like they had good hygiene. IF you don't mind eating at a filthy place that's dirty then you won't mind. Try not to sit at a table by the bathroom, that will definitely spoil your appetite. It smells gross. Take your...
Read moreNice and friendly service. The chicken was soft and fresh and the coleslaw really is the closest one to the original "salvis" one. Lol. The"nuegados" are the bomb! They serve them with a sweet plantain sauce, yummm! It comes with "chilate" and its exactly like the salvadorean one. The pace is clean and they have a lot of salvadorean products like chips and sweets/ sweet rolls. They use to make the chicken similar and really close tasting like pollo campero, but it won't taste like it any more, but still it's really good!...
