Oh my goodness. When I say this place is good, it is GOOOOD. The food was absolutely delicious: soups were rich and warm, tteokboki was chewy and flavorful, and gimbap was fresh and well made. All the portions are large, prices cheap. While the menu is small, every dish is masterfully done and I can say without a doubt I could close my eyes and choose something random and love it! Service is also sosososoooo amazing!!! Our server was so kind and paid amazing attention to our needs and any small details — literally best service of my whole life. If you’re in LA and are looking for food, you gotta give this place a try. Genuinely such a hidden gem!!
A little clarification, I got the tteokbokki mild as a girlie who cannot handle the heat! The cute little cat bottle opener...
Read moreWe were visiting from out of town and craving Korean food, so we decided to try this place. We’ve eaten at many Korean places, some excellent, some mediocre… but sadly this restaurant was one of the worst. Although the servers and staff were friendly, they were novice. While tasty, it is more of a soup than stew, with thin (tasty, though slightly salty) broth. You can see from other reviews with video that it comes out boiling, so be very careful for the first few minutes. You can see from the pictures that the ribs fall off the bone. They are not well trimmed though, so you have a lot of fat in the broth. I wasn't a big fan of the side of rib dipping sauce, though others may like it. I thought the meat was fine on its own. The stew is basically seasoned broth, ribs, and noodles. I may return to try some of their...
