This used to be the best McDonald’s to go to when we went down to Williamsport for a day. But absolutely not anymore. I was told to pull to spot 1. Spot 1 was not available at the time someone was parked in it also waiting for their food. So I pulled next to them. I tried calling them to let them know I was told to pull to spot 1 but the 4 times I called no one answered. So I waited a bit longer and after 3 cars who got pulled after me got their food first I went inside where I waited 10 minutes to be waited on. The lady who came to wait on me was not only rude but tried blaming me for not pulling in the correct spot. I tried explaining to her that there was someone parked there but she continued to rudely talk over top of me. So I tried to get a refund. The food she was so willing to throw at me before she now needed a receipt for. It was in my car so by now I’m furious and she’s still talking over top of me. So I walked out and now I have to call corporate to try and get my money back. So not only did I leave without my food I receive the worst customer service I have ever experienced and they basically stole my money because she couldn’t choose to be nice and listen. I understand they were busy. And I understand maybe even short staffed. But there was no reason to be so nasty and unpleasant. Read more4/15/22 Update: I am not sure what has happened at this location in the past year or so, but the service has gone way downhill. I try to give most businesses some grace because COVID has definitely had an impact on just about everything. But in this instance, I feel that there are just somethings that they should have figured out by now.
We live about a 5-minute drive from this location, so it is super convenient for us to go here, especially when on our way to somewhere else. However, almost every time we go, we have something wrong with our order or have to wait an excessive amount of time for a pre-placed Pick-up Mobile Order. You would think that using this option would help, but our orders are almost always incorrect or the food is cold. We much rather drive out of our way to go to the Golden Strip location where the food is always hot and our orders are correct! P.S. Pat no longer seems to work at this location. So, our one ray of sunshine visiting this location has gone. Many blessings go to her wherever she may be!
Original Review: Pat, the lady who works in the Drive-Thru is quite honestly the best part of this McDonald's! Don't get me wrong, we love the fries, shakes & other specialties that come with a visit to the "Golden Arches." But do yourself a favor, stop by on a weekday and say, "Hi!" to Pat! It's rare that I don't get asked to pull forward to wait in the drive-through (10 minute wait last time, I timed it). It's rare that my order is correct, usually missing something, or in the case of yesterday I ordered, and paid for a steak, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich in the drive-through and received a McGriddle with bacon and no egg (what??). Don't care for McGriddle so no breakfast for me that morning. It's rare that I receive the condiments/sauces that I ask for (or get the "correct" ones that I asked for). They seem to be consistently inconsistent here. Receipt says to call a local number and ask for Alex if you aren't satisfied, when you call you never seem to get an answer so you leave a message for "Alex", but not a call back. Guess Alex doesn't really care. Or perhaps gets so many complaints that he can't keep up, not sure, could be either. Sorry, but I wish there was another location close enough to me so that I could avoid this one completely. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but this location has left me no other choice.
