I actually couldn't wait to review this spot. Let's get the technicals out of the way first. Black owned restaurant and has been opened for 13 years in the LA El Segundo area. Crafts beautiful yummy burgers, fries and desserts. We waited about 15 min for food, sat outside, and spent about $90 for 3 of us. NOW...THIS IS NOT YOUR REGULAR BURGER SPOT... THIS SPOT IS ART, AND MOVEMENT IN YOUR MOUTH!!
We had 3 burgers, fries and a shake. Lil homie; Real Da** cheeseburger, and Epic grilled cheese; Alfredo fries, Banana pudding shake, Strawberry shake, and THE PEACH COBBLER SHAKE. Looking through the menu you might think that the burger is going to be greasy and over the top but no it is actually a really good blend of flavors, that can be tasted in each respective bite... lol. A really good burger!! The fries are very good! Hot, well seasoned and plenty! They do mean alfredo sauce btw! .......now I saved this part for last.... I'm not even a dessert eater... I'm like a taster and then don't want anymore but I wanted to fight everyone at the table for this shake. I've never had anything like this in my life!! And I'm still trying to figure out how tf they did this!?? They blended a spoonful of real peach cobbler into a milkshake while keeping the integrity of the cobbler. You could taste everything, the cooked peaches, the nutmeg, the cinnamon, the breading, the crust and the syrup. Don't taste this shake before the others bc you'll be mad you didn't get it. The others were good but didn't hold a flame to the cobbler... my goodness.
I also want to say thank you to Alonso* who helped us. His customer service felt natural, like talking and laughing with your cousin. He greeted us and offered to take our picture. He gave us the food recommendations and then let us go to work. He continued to maintain great service even while he was super busy with other customers. A truly valuable asset to this business and...
Read moreWe decided to have burgers for dinner tonight! I suggested we try something new. When ordering, you have to scan a QR code to view the menu. The menu isn't detailed. After reviewing the menu we placed our orders with the cashier. Apparently the burgers come with toppings like bacon, cheese and tomatoes. I learned this after I placed my order. When I realized they come with certain toppings I told the cashier I only wanted the toppings I stated to her on my burger. I verbalized NO tomatoes. I didn't think to check our food before leaving. And the wait time was not long at all. It was pretty accurate. But we get home, there's pork bacon on our burgers. Neither of us eat pork. I assume outside of the bacon, his burger was made correctly. Mine wasn't. It didn't have the lettuce I requested and it had a tomato on it. Now, when I tell you the food flavor wise, is on point, it's ON POINT! They should give more fries for what they charge, they're $6.50. The drinks are pretty large, which I like. We got strawberry lemonade. It was good. But when the final price was tallied, it came to $50. That was for two burgers, his had two patties, two fries and two drinks. If we're paying that much, EVERYTHING should be on point. Especially when she read our orders back to us. Now your tastebuds won't be disappointed, but be careful when placing your order. They should change the way you can place an order. At a minimum they should have a laminated menu on the counter so customers can easily order. If they had a posted menu, the cashier can say our burgers come with "these" toppings, and you can order accordingly. Other than those issues, they could've...
Read moreIf you want to eat the best burger that you’ve ever had, you should probably come here. This unassuming spot boasts some of the best burgers I’ve ever had.
First of all, they have some parking spots behind their building which is really convenient.
Next, you order at this restaurant on their electronic menu. If they have QR codes at their counter for you to do this. Their menu was really intuitive and easy to do.
Next, the price isn’t that bad. For about $17, you can get a burger drink and fries.
We both got burgers and different types of fries. One was a turkey burger that was so juicy and fresh, and the toppings were light, crunchy, and flavorful. The other was a big hamburger that came with super crispy and large bacon. Their buns are amazing. They are so soft and pillowy while still being very buttery and delicate.
Now the fries. I got the garlic Parmesan fries which have a ton of slightly sautéed garlic and Parmesan covering them. If you like garlic, this is exactly what you want. I personally like the seasoned fries that my friend got. These have a Cajun spice that goes really well with the fries. I also highly suggest getting the honey garlic dipping sauce, as this is probably the best dipping sauce I’ve ever had. It is sweet, spicy, and has strong notes of garlic. It was excellent.
My only gripe is that the restaurant has very limited seating inside and outside, and they don’t have any air conditioning. The outside tables are quite uneven and rock a lot.
Overall, one of the best burgers and fries I’ve ever had, and I will 100% come here again...
