Come on now. You have got to love pit burger. This is a small corner resturaunt in Gardenia. It has been a staple for my family since I was born. I have brought many friends here to enjoy the amazing teriyaki bowls, burgers and plates. The go to item every time is the teri bowl. The helpings are enormous and very filling. There is no place anywhere near that has the flavor this teriyaki has. When you arrive you smell the aromas wafting out of the circulation vent and immediately it has you drooling and ready to enjoy this goodness. I recommend getting the half /half (chicken/beef) plate. You will experience a very flavorful meal that will have you craving more and anxiously awaiting your next visit. I only got a pic of the teri burger today. It is several pices of the flat steak meat covered in their special teriyaki sauce and lettuce with a bit of mayo to increase the flavor. I'll add more pics to come. Go eat...
Read moreThe teriyaki burgers, fries (well done!), and chicken or steak bowl or plate are all delicious! The steak could be more tender for easier chewing but the flavor is out of this world good! They have a few kids menu choices as well including corn dogs! I've been patronizing the Pit for many years (since the 80's) and it's still my once a week go to place. It's family-owned so you know the aim to please and serve is always on a very personable level. It currently services as a "walk-up, order and go" at the window (far right), but you can also call in your order and pick it up. I haven't noticed any delivery services accommodating this business as of yet, so I doubt it is going to happen anytime soon. I can't say that I blame the owner of the Pit for not wanting to give up 30+% of each delivery order just to get the same amount of business! This joint is a staple in this community and won't be going anywhere else...
Read moreBest teriyaki in town for sure! Generous amount of food and very tasty. The teriyaki sauce they use is not too overly sweet nor is it dull. I get the the beef teriyaki plate which comes with teriyaki served on top of white rice a cabbage salad and a toasted buttered burger bun. It's a no brainer as to why this place has been open for so many years! As you drive by you can smell this place. It smells like heaven(not Litterally of course) been going here for years so much that one time i was short on cash (I had put it in a big order for work) and the guy at the register told me I see you here alot(lol) come back when you can and complete the total which of course i did the very same day after work. They value their customers and they have good food what's not to like about this place. Oh yeah! Cash only....
