Mas Fukai Park — Attraction in Gardena

Great updated playground. Never too crowded. Huge baseball field with 2 diamonds and bleachers. Basketball court with 4 basketball hoops. Handball court. Has restrooms, water fountain & drink vending machines. Staff is on hand Monday-Friday 3pm to 9pm, Saturday 10am to 6pm and Sunday 12 Noon to 6pm. You can borrow balls for free. You have to pay to reserve the baseball diamonds for large groups. You must pay to reserve the picnic shelter &/or a room for a party. No bouncers for parties. No dogs, no smoking, no skating/skateboarding in the park. They offer dance classes. They offer karate classes at another park. They have sports for kids. My kids love Mas Fukai. It's a decent size park with 2 full size basketball courts, 3 softball/baseball fields, a playground area with activities for 4- 13 year olds to enjoy. I personally don't feel the playground is suitable for kids younger than 4 years old, but they do have swings for younger kids!

As far as safety goes, there's never a lot of people just loitering around. I haven't even ran into any druggies/transients so I find the park very safe.

They even have a small little shaded area with tables/benches where I've seen people decorate nicely for small parties. Overall I'd give this park an 8/10.

This is a great little community park it's perfect for baseball as matter fact that's about the only thing you can play here it's that small. However it's manicured and kept very green and clean. It's around teens the local Gardena neighborhood area which makes it safe and practical to walk too. There's plenty of parking along the street side, but you won't find any parking inside. There restroom facilities and fountains to drink water from. There's also a playground that's been revised and hopefully after this post it will become a reality.
