Salaam Soup House & Bakery — Restaurant in Garfield Heights

So, I love trying new places. Atmosphere is nice, all take out, no dine in. I was excited to order from them because they're clearly Muslim, assumed Black Owned and looking to support, while having a Muslim Diner experience. The gentlemen that answered the phone was interpersonal and again the lobby is nice and decorative with the menus and offerings.

Received our food and was GREATLY DISAPPOINTED. Side of mushrooms were very small 8 mushrooms for $3 (2.99 to be exact)...I called him back to confirm that's how it should be and he said, "Yes, because it's a side. " I said, "Oh okay. " The mushrooms were also tan and a few of the flour pockets were missing THE MUSHROOM! Omg! The side of was brown and was mixed with something... not tasty to me at all. My fish and bread were the only things that were fixable. I had to put my bread and fish in the oven to finish cooking. Not saying they're a bad establishment...

Very very proud to know these fine people they are awesome and amazing to be around they are very polite and friendly and very helpful to our community...I love the different smells that hit ur nose and all of ur senses and the food is awesome and I hope and pray that they keep having good fortune and peace with in their selves and business and me and my fiancee will always be around to receive their kindness and delicious food and not to forget they superb Bean pie it's awesome if you haven't tried it it tastes better than sweet potato pie 🥧 I love they food and I hope and pray they stay around until the end of time because they are a blessing to this...

Nice set up very nice menu with many different options Rated place for (1) star service because it seems the owner wanted to do all of the duties … without giving the woman there the opportunity to assist … where it was 10000% needed… we ordered (2) ice creams (1) scoop per cone … And waited for 20 min for ice cream .. and sprinkles…. order ahead of time before visiting even 🎉 nice...
