Cajun Donuts II — Restaurant in Garland

Happened to be in the area and had been to a few different donuts shops that morning looking for any place that offered decent croissant sandwiches. But we hadn’t had much luck. Our last hope and stop happened to be here at Cajun Donuts and I am so glad we stopped here. The sausage, egg, and cheese croissant was amazingly good. Plus we also got to try the croissant rolls and their specialty the beignets. The croissants have a special glaze they use that adds an extra delicious je ne sais quoi to the croissants, and the beignets were so hot and fluffy it was a special treat. Plus not just the food is great but the staff is amazing! They are so friendly and understanding. I truly felt welcomed there, unlike at other donut places where you just feel like you’re just another customer walking in, this place made me feel like they truly cared for the customer’s satisfaction. The shop is kept very clean and the menu is very attractive and colorful, they actually put time into writing out the menu, unlike at some places where the decor and menus are all sun bleached and hard to read. Donuts for Grownups!!!!!

Love the lemon filled and traditionally sugary glazed goodness!!!! There is a party in my tummy. They are Devine fresh goodness.

Beignets. The hot, pillowy, buried-under-powdered-sugar beignets. They are traditionally prepared right before consumption to be eaten fresh and hot. The tradition of beignets dates to the time of ancient Rome. Head back in time to the goodness. The freshly fried beignets radiate warm, sweetened waves of scent. The aroma swirls through the air, taunting the senses, watering the tongue. Bite into the crisp, fluffy pillows, spilling over with powdered sugar, and know the simple pleasures of homey, hearty doughnuts: This is a Beignet!!!!. They really compare to the authentic Cafe du Monde variety, eaten on the streets of the French Quarter at dawn. So yummy they need buckled for safety riding...

Great Breakfast Stop!!! Everything purchased was fresh and the service was amazing! I initially stopped by to try their beignets (made to order!) along with kolaches and assorted donuts. My purchase consisted of beignets (3), breakfast sandwich (croissant with sausage, egg and cheese), small traditional kolaches and a croissant kolache with sausage and bacon. On the sweeter side - cake donut, old fashioned (sour cream), a dozen donut holes, chocolate sprinkle donut and pink glazed donut.

On my return visit the next morning -Feeding 4 adults and a toddler. I decided to try the boudin kolache- it was very good! I purchased 2 boudin kolaches, 3 croissant breakfast sandwiches, and 3 regular kolaches. Again, with the cake donuts, old fashioneds and donut w/chocolate sprinkles.
