The Bartering System is Back!
Entered the location at about 10AM on a Sunday. They weren't terribly busy, a table eating, a person waiting for their togo order, and I stood at the counter for about 7 minutes before someone greeted me and about 10 total to be helped out. The window into the kitchen showed people were working, wrapping up breakfast - likely for online orders. No problem.
When I tried to place my order, a Breakfast Burrito with egg, chorizo and potato, I was met with the standard price - $6.69 as listed on their menu - AND a "Custom Amount" for three dollars. When I asked if the addition of potatoes was really $3, it was dropped to $2. Notably, there is nothing on their menu letting you know how much substitutions or additions are so this was an extra fun surprise. And, in talking to the person charging me, it was chalked up to a misunderstanding, that it was just extra. Rather than argue or complain, I just paid it because I was hungry.
Looking online, which I'm not sure is entirely their fault, all of the online services that offer delivery are inconsistent on listing and prices as well, making it all the more difficult to know what you're going to get and what you will pay for.
Now for the food itself. My burrito was hot, tasted good, but ultimately was a big mess. The wrapping of the tortilla is not tight, no seal is created, and there's no real easy way to lift it up without it opening up and falling apart. Maybe this is a one-off, maybe it's because I wanted a few potato chunks in there, but it really wasn't a fun experience.
In total, the food is tasty but not very well put together or presented, the service is lacking and confusing, the prices (or policies) are not exactly honest or clear. I probably won't be going back and I wouldn't recommend Dos...
Read moreCame in here today because the reviews have nice pics of tacos. And since my family and I are on vacations we came to Dallas to visit my wife’s family, so I searched for a good taco spot and found this place. Well,
Needless to say when i asked for some potatoes on the side of my migas plate she said they awere out of potatoes for my plate because on Sundays they sell out. Then they tell me but they do have potatoes for my potato and egg taco.
So ok let’s see what we get.
So then we go to sit down and the table is super wobbly. So I fixed the table by folding a few napkins. The tacos came out and were super small the barbacoa had water in it like it was reheated or steamed or re cooked on the grill with water. I didn’t get my potatoes either. 🙄
They being the cooking staff. were so un ashamed of their lack and inability to serve someone.
Even my mother in law said the tacos at jack in the box were better and bigger. The food lacked flavor , barbacoa as well. It was soggy in water. Also the bacon is bacon bits , not actual slices of bacon. 🥓…. Also there is no restroom sign in the restaurant.??? Like cmon. Also no handles on the restroom door? WOW! For real????😮
Do better please.
Dos Bros.
There are real people out here in Dallas that are hurting for some good tacos.
Please prepare when ordered not keep food in containers on heat lamps or in an oven sitting. That is not the way.
Either way God Bless You All. Dos Bros Tacos is NOT the...
Read moreLate lunch, my boyfriend got the taco plate, my daughter got chicken nachos and I got the sopes plate (steak).
Our order took long to receive and they gave my boyfriend’s taco plate to another customer. I saw when she walked it back to the window and they literally placed it on the tray and walked it back out to serve to our table.
The food was bland and nothing was extraordinary or stood out. I tend to judge places by their rice and beans and they were not good. Barbacoa is mushy and salty, the sopes were fresh but lacked flavor and my daughter’s nacho chips were stale.
The tables were sticky and had that “dirty” feel and so did the floors. Maybe they don’t pay attention too much when cleaning between customers.
This sucks because we saw a TikTok about this place and we had high expectations but will...
