Update 2/22/20: everything I wrote below is still true, thankfully. This place has been consistently good for YEARS. Unfortunately, I just tried some drinks for the first time. Worst ever. We got 2 different teas, one hot one cold. Both were way too sweet, all you could taste was the syrup/sugar whatever they use. And they cost as much as the places that specialize in tea. It may have been a bad day for whoever was making it, but not worth another chance, stick with the sandwich. Original:
As with other reviewers, I've been a fan since my days in LA, so glad to see them out here. Best Vietnamese sandwich in town (for those that don't know about Vietnamese sandwiches, you need to try one to understand. It's definitely different from Subway).
I've tried many others around north Dallas, but like I said, Lee's is the best. Fresh bread, just the right texture. The grilled pork is all I ever get, I've tried some other meats, but to me, they're just ok. Not a lot of meat, by American sub standards, but Vietnamese subs are different (and they're are smallish, too; just right for my wife, but I can eat 2). The other ingredients are just right, too. If you don't like spicy, make sure you tell them to hold the hot peppers.
It's a little out of the way for me, so I don't go as often as I want, but worth it once in a while. And they still have the "buy 4, get 1 free" so bring some friends. They also offer a bunch more other stuff I haven't tried, but to me, it's called Lee's Sandwiches, that's...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy favorite spot for a quick, tasty sandwich. If you're trying out Asian sandwiches for the first time, I recommend starting in more familiar areas first. Fried egg, grilled chicken. The pork products are very tasty but a little on the fatty side for the more unrefined American palate. I really enjoy their "European" croissant sandwiches - light, flaky croissant and generous toppings, and the Lee's Coffee is a great sweet treat. They've been out of egg rolls the last couple of times I've been, but when they have them I recommend the pork ones as a savory, crunchy addition to your meal. I haven't had breakfast here, but it look just as good as...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came here to get a boba tea. Seemed like it would be a good place to visit, but it was horrible. I waited 30 minutes, just for them to get my order wrong. There were people who came well after me who ordered boba tea and they got theirs before me. My husband went up to the counter to ask what was taking so long and they said they were making it right then. We waited another 10 minutes and the brought other drinks, but not mine, again these drink were a good 20-30 orders AFTER mine, and then I went back up and asked and they finally brought it to me and it was not what I ordered. I will not be going back to this place again. Very...
