BEWARE!!!! Their baked goods & customer service is HIGHLY ADDICTIVE & TOP TIER!!!! If I could give more stars I would. The 1st time I ordered was a 7Up cake for a friendās birthday. Iām very skeptical of ordering food online for many reasons but this company SURPASSED all expectations!! They ship every Wednesday & I needed it by Saturday at the latest. Called after ordering to ensure Iād have it & I received a fast & friendly call back ensuring me itād be here Friday & it was. The packaging was SUPERB, they thought of everything!! The cake was DELICIOUS!! You can tell these are Nana Dotās REAL family recipes & that her REAL family runs this business based on the love & care that goes into the entire process. My friend & his family are southern folks, and they donāt eat everyoneās food & are highly critical. Lol Listen, theyāre STILL talking about how good & moist that cake was a month later. My 2nd order was the graham cracker crust sweet potato pie (which I HAD to try-because it was so different). Guys the pie crust is PERFECTION! The sweet potato filling is moist PERFECTION! And again the pies were made & wrapped with love & care. Their packaging should honestly be studied. Lol This is a REAL family owned business, REAL recipes, and no gimmicks. You taste the love in the food! Even the website is amazing at how informative it is for customers! I encourage you to read it. They go above & beyond for their customers, and as someone whoās very particular about customer service just as much as the product- I appreciated them so much. They even reached back out to me after I left a voicemail to thank them for their awesome service & product, and expressed their appreciation. It doesnāt get any better than that. Weāre family now. Lol! They have a customer/cousin for life & Iāll happily give them my money. 10/10...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI think that I have found my new happy place. NaNa Dotās Southern Sweets is thee spot for butter cake. It is hands down one of the best butter cakes in the DFW Metro. I discovered NaNa Dotās Southern Sweets while searching for a birthday cake for a friend. The cakes on their website had that ole school look ( if you know you know). They looked like older experienced hands made them with love. One look at the cakes on the site and I was all in. The decision to order turned out to be one of the best decisions of my lifeāŗļø. Before my friend tasted the cake, they tasted the icing and said, āthis is going to be goodā Boy, were they right! First of all, the frosting was a creamy and smooth milk chocolate. D E L I C I O U S! The cake was moist and bursting with butter. One bite and it took me back to my childhood. Reminded me of my Grammyās cooking. It was just oozing with love. It was totally worth walking around in the humidity at The Farmerās Market to find their stand to pick up my cake. Keep mind that they do have delivery and other pick-up locations in the area. When I picked up my cake, I got a chance to meet one of the chefs/bakers. I didnāt get her name, but she was very nice. I canāt wait to go back and get another cake or slice. The cake was so tasty that I wanted more when I woke up the next morning š. If you want cake full of flavor and nostalgia , please go see the folks at NaNa Dotās Southern Sweets and tell them that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy sister and I was so excited to find you had a cake stand close to us. We went over and bought 4 pieces of the different cakes. We really wanted red velvet, but none was available. We got strawberry cream cheese cake, strawberry flavor is way overpowering. Next was Lemon cake with lemon icing. The cake was good but I didn't care for the icing. I ate without the icing. Then the butter cake with chocolate frosting. Is was good. Last was German chocolate cake. That was my favorite one.
I might give the red velvet a try one day. But I'm ok if I don't too. We spent 46.00 on 4 pieces of cake that we found meh, mediocre.
I am happy for the ones who do love their cakes. I wish them nothing...
