Palio's Pizza Cafe At Firewheel — Restaurant in Garland

2 stars because most of the time I've been happy with this place. I've only ever ordered from here online through Menufy (which is where you're directed from the restaurants website). 2 times I ordered recently and my pizza was made incorrectly but we ate it, didn't call and complain or write a review because these things happen. Tonight I ordered and waited. I was given a delivery time of 45-60 minutes, fantastic. Well about 75 minutes into the wait I call just to check and make sure the driver is on the way, the guy who answered the phone puts the phone down to check, comes back and sounds unsure but says the driver left 10-12 minutes ago and should be at my house any minute. I wait about 10 minutes and decide we can no longer wait to see if our order arrives, I've got 3 kids to feed and it's quickly approaching their bedtimes. I call to cancel my order and ask for a refund. The person says that they need to call the driver first and he'll be right back with me, except he hangs up on me. I called back and ask for a manager, phone goes to the counter again, I hear talking in the distance, guy comes back and tells me the manager needs to go to Kroger. I explain to this person what all has happened, he agrees to a refund. I had to give him my credit card number 3 times before he can get it handled (let's see if the refund shows up in my account). About 20-30 minutes go by and I get a call from Rebecca (probably one of the nicest people I've spoken to recently), she tells me she was told to apologize and offer me a refund if it hasn't been done already. She explained that she wasn't sure what happened but thinks my order went to the wrong address. I thank her for her help but told her I'd have had more respect for the business if the manager had called me back instead of having a person not associated with any of my previous calls calling me. I’ve posted a review before but ended up deleting it as I felt maybe it might have just been a bad batch of workers until recently. I quite literally love Palio’s, I used to work at a different location and so wherever I am that a palios is, I go! This is the one closest to my house as of right now and Im now forced into going to Forney as their staff is and has remained horrid. I’ve had orders cancelled, left at other houses, completely wrong, cold, tampered with, everything you could think of at this point has gone wrong. The last week every single order I have placed, reminding you over $200 in the last two weeks, has been WRONG. It truly feels as if it’s personal at this point because they do not have the same behavior towards anyone else that I’ve had over and has ordered from them. Even my roommate has expressed not even needing to say my name to pick up my orders anymore because they know it’s for me. It’s quite literally a running joke between me and my friends the last year that Palio’s hates me even though all I want to do is give them my money except it’s no longer funny. It’s actually disgusting behavior based on nothing. I have never even stepped foot in the building, as I mentioned my roommate picks my food up so I don’t have to engage people that are odd for no reasoning and refuse to just do their job. It’s incredibly sad to turn someone’s lovely experience for over 10 years beforehand into such a horrible one. Incredibly disappointing and disgusted with the way the workers handle themselves to say the least! I have never stepped into a Palio’s that was not welcoming, had delicious food, and respected their customers. I will at least add that this location is special...
