Bellacino's Pizza & Grinders — Restaurant in Gastonia

WORST LASAGNA EVER!!! Do not ever get!! Don't know what's happened here. Used to visit a time or two a week, till about six months ago. Ordered take out pizza, parts didn't even have cheese..returned!! Haven't been told last week. Stopped in to try the Lasagna. But for some reason we couldn't sit and eat. A staff member or two stayed in area the whole time talking🤷‍♂️Anyway waited a little over 30 minutes, saw a woman make one and thought that was it, but it went on waiting shelf. Wish she'd made mine, at least she put cheese on it. But after 35 minutes some guy came around the corner with mine??? Don't know where it was prepared or cooked but it was awful. The pasta was a barely warm clump. There was 1 layer that appeared to have some ricotta cheese, and that was it. Some sort or red sauce had been poured over it and 9 flakes of cheese scattered over the sauce. Thinking back, I don't recall if it had meat. I ate about a quarter before giving up. Thought about adding cheese and heating it up. ( I only live 4 minutes from restuarant so should have been hot) but decided no hope. Just ran out to get something else while there was a chance. It really shouldn't matter who prepares it, but it does seem to here . My dog eats all table scraps. But all I got was a growl here. The only thing left are the grinders but I'm scared of them now. I waited for my food over 40 minutes for anyone wondering how long it may take going in and ordering, I work at a restaurant so I’m not really complaining about that because I can kind of make out why.

However, the young guy who took my order was really nice and the customer service from him was great! So you only get 2 stars because he was awesome and has great customer service! 3 stars for the pizza because even though it wasn’t cut and half of every slice fell down after I picked it up it was kinda good. When I got my food it was fresh, but the cheese was spilled over in the box and it was not cut, luckily I have a pizza cutter at home. I also said thank you twice, and got no response, but anyway. The cheese on the pizza was a lovely amount, with that amount I would love more thickness from the pizza itself, seems like the crust was the most bread I had.

Overall, I feel as if their food is delicious, smells and looks great, first time there btw! I don’t know if I’d come back because they might not cut my pizza again. Thank you...

This was, unfortunately, a very disappointing experience. The food tasted as if it came straight out of a Chef Boyardee can — bland, processed, and far from fresh. Before we even placed our order, the cashier walked away and disappeared, leaving another employee to finally step in and take it. It then took more than 30 minutes for our food to arrive, only for it to be inedible.

To make matters worse, the prices were far too high for the quality of food we received. Paying restaurant prices for something that tasted like canned pasta is unacceptable.

What made the experience even worse was that I’m fairly certain a manager was seated nearby and could clearly hear my dissatisfaction, yet chose to say nothing. That lack of customer care speaks volumes.
