Hungry Howie's Pizza — Restaurant in Gastonia

While the food is good (when they get it right), the customer service needs a lot of work. From the front desk to the shift management, someone needs to provide proper training to the staff.

The drivers park in the spots right in front of the doors, spots that should probably be available for customers. One driver was actually working on his car (under the hood) in front of the store. Most of the staff are young kids with little respect for customers.

Management isn't much better; I previously had a wrong order that the shift manager refused to make right because he said he was "very busy."

Were it not the ease of use of the ordering app, I would have given up on the store way back. The app makes it easy enough to order and pay so you don't have to deal with the staff. Just make sure you check the accuracy of your order before you leave, because they don't seem to have the capacity to read an order correctly.

IF the pizza is made right, and you can get it home still hot, you have a good pie with quality...

Decided to try Hungry Howie's out since they are new in town. We ordered a thin crust pizza, regular crust pizza, Chicken Howie Roll, Garlic Bread and Caramel Brownies. The thin crust pizza was loaded with toppings but was under cooked, leaving the crust flimsy and doughy instead of crispy the way thin crust is meant to be. The Howie Roll also was not done. The chicken WAS done, however the dough was anything but done. I'd say we scraped half of the dough off the inside of the roll in order to eat it. My son wasn't crazy about the cheese pizza but he ate three pieces. The Garlic Bread was wonderful! (Point for Howie!) Then dessert happened... The brownies were disappointing! I was expecting gooey caramel and yummy chocolate, but instead got blah chocolate with caramel drizzled on top. They tasted like something frozen, story bought and with a short shelf life. Anyway, the moral of the story? I should've stuck with ole faithful and ordered from my other friends....

These people do not know what they're doing. I placed an order by phone. I wanted to use a cupon i had and specifically asked if I could use it. They said yes I made my order was supposed to be ready in 15 minutes. I got there about 20 minutes later. They were having a problem with the oven and told me it was gonna be another 10 minutes. I said no problem and went to cash out. The manager told me I couldn't use the coupon even though I specifically asked when I called if I could she refused to make any kind of discount available even though they screwed up and I was still having to wait. I left there with out my food and angry becauseof her overall rudeness. I will not go back there, which is very disappointing. Because I used to love hungry Howie's.
