Ok, this actual needs a 0 star... i ordered the combo platter, good price tho. I got the baby back ribs and pulled pork. Ribs supposedly grilled daily, they never saw a grill. Oh and by the way they are spare ribs not baby back. I pointed this out to the waitress and she first argued then when i pointed out the differnce she respondid with, "well the box says babyback ribs".. 🤢 dont get me started on the pulled pork , they have a smoker out front but it's obviously for looks, the pork had no smoke flavor and was dryer then the ribs, which says alot because they were dry. No actual bbq sauce to help with dryness of the pork but a teacup of what tasted like a malt vinegar with dry seasoning mixed in. Which by the way we noticed later the table had malt vinegar bottle on it. Lol... if your looking for good bbq, dont stop at rays. Beer was ice cold tho, literally had ice chunks in my bottle. Love me some cold beer.. decor was cool, but this seams like a bar first, and bbq 4th.. which would explain...
Read moreI have always loved this place. Never disappointed when it came to the great taste of their food. But I ate there last night and as the night went on I got super nauseous after eating the ribs and pork and by this morning I could barely roll out of bed to get to the bathroom. Now today I have sour stomach with indigestion and diarrhea, complete weakness to where I can't get out of bed. I thought maybe it was just my stomach being sensitive to something else but my daughter had ate what I had left over and she's had the same symptoms as well. Pretty much we have food poisoning. I just want people to be aware. I don't know what happened if the food was left out too long and reheated or just contaminated with raw meat. It has completely ruined my appetite for ray's so I most likely will not be back in the future so It won't happen again. 57 dollars for 2 pork and rib plates and a side of fried pickles just to get...
Read moreThis was my first trip to Ray's. I'm not sure how I overlooked this restaurant for so many years. For those that enjoy quiet, uncrowded dining, I suggest 4pm. It was just the wife and I. Due to the lack of customers, we were a bit apprehensive about the food. Much to my delight, we were wrong. The wife got the Meat Sampler dinner with pulled pork, beef brisket, ribs, and chicken, and I got the pulled pork dinner. To Ray's credit, the portions were plentiful. More plentiful than either of us could eat at a single setting. The rest went home with us to finish off later. The meats were excellent. All moist, tender, tastefully seasoned, and smoked to perfection. If you enjoy good BBQ and you've not yet found a restaurant that makes you glad to go back, give Ray's Smokehouse a try. You may be as delightfully surprised as we were. To the Google folks at Ray's, Thank you for the great food and service. See...
