Gave me a, what do they call it, Blast? Gave me one of those with peanut butter cups. Approximately 1/10th contained the candy. Haha. Additionally, it was CRUNCHY and did not taste like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. I told them it was underfilled and crunchy and tasted wrong. The ice cream was gross too, didn't bother to mention that. The lunatic over the intercom told me that's what happens when it's cold, it gets crunchy.
??
I have had a billion Blizzards from Dairy Queen, and homemade ice cream with peanut butter cups in my lifetime. They get hard yes, they do not get CRUNCHY. Even stale ones don't get crunchy, what did I just partially eat??
So I said I disagree, but anyway I say, it's tragically underfilled. She reiterated some garbage about it getting crunchy because cold, like I'm the idiot in this conversation.
I asked to please just have a refund, and the intercom went silent for 10 minutes. I pushed the button: ''Hello can I help you?'' it said, as if I'm a new customer. ''Yes it's still me I'm still waiting for a refund.'' Another 15 minutes pass. I push the button again, ''Hi how can I help you?''
DX
So I guess the plan is to just ignore me until I go away? Wow.
I finally drove around through the drive-thru and flagged someone down when they came out for other reasons. I told them the problem and they went in. Another 10 minutes pass. They send someone out to ask what the problem is, explain it again. Another 10 minutes. Finally someone who seems or pretends to have agency comes out and asks my order number. I give it but she doesn't write it down and stares at me with such blank eyes I'm not actually sure she understands the concept of numbers. She says I'll be refunded and it'll show up in 10 minutes.
This is an obvious lie.
But now I've been here over an hour, and clearly these are bad bad people who either willfully feed garbage to patrons, or et such garbage themselves they don't know what food is supposed to taste like, and they doggedly intend to do nothing. So I went home and wrote an email to corporate asking for my money back. Got an automated reply.
This was my first time at Sonic, and obviously will be my last. But if you like Sonic, maybe at least avoid this location? These people are dead inside with no minds or souls, and I dread to think what was in that ice cream to make it crunchy. What other revolting things are they doing to food because they don't have human logic or reason?
If it's always like this and not a fluke, and you've gone here and learned to think a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup ice cream is supposed to be crunchy, I must sadly inform you that it is not, and you're eating I don't...
Read moreThe service was awful I realise it is July 4th weekend but it was not busy there were maybe 5 cars in the parking lot. I had a simple order the only thing that proved to be difficult was leaving the condiments off of a cheese burger...Oh and being on time! It took for ever to get our order out and when it did come out my tots were cold my son ordered apples and got tots and one of the cheese burgers was suppose to be plain and wasn't. I walked all over trying to find someone to help me and ended up having to walk to the kitchen door where I said excuse me and received a disgusted look from the guy working the grill who literally dropped what he was doing to have a stare down with me! Did not ask me what I needed just stood there with an attitude starring at me he finally said someone is standing at the door!! The young lady who brought us our food originally said can I help you I said yes I ordered this burger plain she ok we will fix it and we waited more than 15 min to get a new one. Didn't apologize just sent out a different girl and said did you order a double cheese burger and dropped it on our table and skated away. None of them wanted to be bothered with any of the customers there. I understand it's fast food I've been there done that but there is never an excuse to treat paying customers they way we're treated I was never rude never raised my voice I wasn't even upset that my order was wrong until I received the treatment I did when asking them to fix my order I was frustrated with the reaction I received but still said please and thank you never having an attitude or becoming rude. it was overall a horrible experience and we will...
Read moreSonic food, but consistently very slow service.
Hello fellow Carolinians! As I live near this Sonic it is often an easy comfort choice. But more and more often I had better not arrive thirsty or hungry. Arriving at 9pm in rural NC you wouldn't expect much of a line... But my photo only shows the 2 cars ahead of me, not the 2 behind me. And this is not a crazy rush time. The cars behind me arrived several minutes apart.
I blocked the plate number of the car ahead of me. While we had time to get acquainted, swap numbers and life stories, I chose not to. 15 minutes since arrival, and I decided to start writing a review. Because that's a substantial delay.
It's not a headcount issue. I got bored enough to take a lap around the store, and there are four (4) employees. Not a lot of cars at the carhop spots either.
To prepare yourself in this weather, bring a pillow and bottled water and pee before arriving. Patiently wait about 8 to 12 minutes after you get up to the ordering spot (or press the ORDER HERE button and wait 5). Place your order, but do check carefully as they read it back. Must be hard to hear. And then wait. And wait. to pay and get your food. Recline your seat. Stay hydrated. There's time, trust me.
When I stop by for a limeaid and burger in the evening it's often a 20 minute wait. But tonight the two cars ahead of me have not paid yet either. Wish me luck!
Update? 22 minutes in by the wall clock and the car ahead of me gave up and drove away without their order. Will this release me sooner?...
