Tino's — Restaurant in Gastonia

We just LOVED our experience here. We passed this place several days ago driving home and today we decided to try it on a whim and we are so glad we did. My husband and I both had wings and they were delicious. They are large size wings and surely don’t disappoint. My honey crisp side salad was a little different but very good. I enjoyed it. The JOJO wedges were good as well. The grilled cheese and onion petals we got to go for our teenager back home got a thumbs up as well. They have a nice selection of draft beers. They even had captain jack pilsner from Old Mecklenburg Brewery which is my husbands #1 favorite craft beer ever and I don’t think we have ever found a place that carries it on draft, especially local so that alone punched our ticket for a second visit. Shay, our server was super friendly, worked the whole restaurant like a boss and never missed a beat. We loved that they had Jeopardy playing on one of the TVs because we love trivia. Which we saw they will now have trivia every Tuesday night. How fun! The dinning room was a good mix of cozy enough for families but edgy enough for a couples night out for some beers and dinner. Loved they had a bar seating option. The outdoor seating would be nice on cooler days. Never would have thought they opened just a couple months ago. I would have thought they had been open a couple years. Two thumbs...

I don't want to give the wrong impression but gotta be honest. The wings I got, Honey Garlic, left a little bit to be desired. They were a little tough and didn't have the taste I was looking for. They came with some french fries which were good. The service however was outstanding. The young man at the register was helpful, respectful, attentive and very polite. I forgot my credit card and he was on his A game, bringing it to me immediately. The atmosphere kind of felt like if you don't normally come here then why are you here now type of thing but it could have been me or just one of those days. Again the gentleman at the counter made me feel comfortable. All in all I would try them again, just not sure...

BAD, BAD. BAD, BAD EXPERIENCE!!!

Upon arrival, they serviced 2 others then asked us to wait. We patiently waited for 10-15 minutes, outside, in the cold, with only 1 acknowledgment of "one minute" with a finger. Nothing else was done to accommodate us. We left at went to Shane's Rib Shack.

Lake Wylie Brewery should do a better job of screening companies that they hire to serve its customers. This is a bad reflection on Lake Wylie Brewery.

We'll be back to enjoy the brewery, but we'll make sure this food truck is not there when we do!
