Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Geneseo

Every time I go here they mess up our order. Last week was the final straw for me. We stood in line behind another gentlemen as the cashier stood and stared at all of us instead of asking who was next to take our order. Finally we had to ask the guy in front of us if he’d been waited on and he said no and he then proceeded to the register as the cashier continued to stare and say nothing. My dad ordered a fairly simple meal, so I thought, but a worker came out of the back to confirm with him. He repeated his order and went on to explain it a little further since she was clearly confused about the definition of an extra piece of cheese on a hamburger and she yelled “you don’t have to get mad at me” and stormed off as my dad tried to explain he wasn’t mad he was just trying to explain the order which we thought was pretty simple. The managers 10-12 year old daughter was sitting behind my dad and witnessed what happened and proceeded to talk bad about my father to each worker that passed her. The manager, obviously the girls mother or some close relation, came out and they began to whisper and point at us which made me somewhat upset. The manager then said “I know” and kissed the girl on the forehead which I deemed as sort of unprofessional and unsanitary out on the main floor for everyone to see as were eating. Then as we were eating we watched another girl dig her barehands through a box of straws and spoons as she was restocking supplies which made my stomach turn a bit. Needless to say this store seems to be run by a bunch of immature high school kids or very young adults and I will never return here. If your traveling off of I80 and looking for somewhere to eat turn around and go back to Culver’s or somewhere else. Yuck...and...

First off, don’t waste your time with the curbside service. We’ve only done it 3 times, got there at the time that the app says it will be ready, and then just sit there and watch so many cars go through the drive through. Our fault for not learning the first time, but just trying to give the benefit of the doubt. Well, tonight, I got there on time and waited 20 minutes! My wife finally called in there. No apology what so ever.

Not long after, a girl brings the order out. No apology at. I asked a question about the order and I got the snottiest, squinty eyed upward inflection of “What?” as if I just asked the dumbest question ever. When I asked the question again, I got “the receipt is in the bag”. Doubled checked the receipt, confirmed it was correct and she just walks off.

We’ve been coming here for over 30 years and the service just seems to get worse and worse. Seems like management needs to spend some more time training about good customer service…..oh yeah, and how to make Texas Toast instead of buttered bread.

This might just be the last time we go here. For the time it took, we could have gone through the drive through in Colona, been treated better and made it home in the same amount of time. Sorry Geneseo DQ, it’s time for a divorce.

Response: pretty generic response that doesn’t focus on change in any way. Looking at other negative reviews, it’s just the same old thing. Not interested in refunds or free food. Just want to be treated respectfully when I go. That won’t happen here though. Try some true customer service training with respect and...

Don't go here. This place has issues. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, two orders of cheese curds, and two blizzards, one was the pumpkin pie blizzard and the other was a chocolate truffle blizzard (midnight truffle). Instead I got a messy burger with almost no bacon on it, too much of whatever sauce was on it, one order of curds, and a blizzard with salted caramel and chocolate chunks in it, and they didn't give me my receipt untill I went inside to ask about my second order of curds. I wasn't aware of the messed up blizzard untill I got back to the truck and looked at the receipt. There was some "extra" thing on it. I didn't have the time nor patience to go back inside. I'll just travel the extra miles to go to the one in Kewanee. They've never done anything...
