Sweet Peas Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Geneseo

I came here for a quick dinner on the way home and had my pup with me. When I entered I asked the hostess if he could sit outside and she and another employee said sure I don't see why not. I then asked if they had a gate to bring him in and she said no he can come straight through to the patio though. Ok no prob. I brought him to the patio quickly and with no disturbance. I sit at my patio table and very quickly I was not greeted by a worker who instead demanded "Is thst service dog?" in a very accusatory tone. Taken aback I replied, "No is there a problem, I was told he could be here" She then told me no he has to be OFF the patio in the brush, I look over and there is a gate and it's a unkept weedy exit area. I was upset and how rude this woman was treating me like I was smuggling in a fake service animal, I asked if there was a reason and she spat it was the owner's policy. Fine. I ended up taking him back to the car since the brush was very pokey. Get all your employees educated on policies as important as that. Put a Service Animal Only sign on the door. I had no idea and was treated as if I did something to harm the place. Fix that lady's attitude. She really put a horrible taste in my mouth before I even could look at the menu and I'm only one person but I won't be back bc of her specifically and I want her...

Stopped for lunch on a road trip and was supprised to find such a wonderful cullinary experience tucked into a small strip mall just off of the interstate. The exceptionally clean dining room was decorated with tasteful modern restraint. Service was propmt and professional to an almost fine dining level, yet not overdone or arrogant. I highly recomend the Hendrix burger as few chefs can combine sweet raspberry jam, spicy sriracha, bacon, beef and peanut butter and still somehow ballance all those flavors together into something truly unique and delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection and portioned well, not too much or too little of anything. For the quality of food the prices were maybe even a little low, as if even the prices were made affordable for the small town economy the restaurant is located in, something not usually possible unless the chefs and owners really know how to opperate the business well. Even the bathrooms were clean and well taken care of. Hats off and a round of applause to the owners and staff for excellence...

Tonight we had beer batter mushrooms, so delicious you could almost make a meal out 5 huge mushrooms

I tried the bone in chicken served with celery, superb taste an more meat then other places I've tried. My friend tried bacon burger with sauteed carmelized onion served with French fries, could only half of it due to huge portions. To top it off we took 2 orders of their chocolate cake with layers of fillings, which I have had on several occasions and you cant complete this portion in one setting. Love this restaurant. Hostess seats you immediately, waitress friendly an always checks back to see if cooked the way you want, need drink refills or anything they could get for you. EXCELLENT!
