Luigi's Pizza — Restaurant in Geneva

While on a business trip to Northeastern Ohio, a co-worker and I arrived in town a little later in the evening than we'd hoped we would and missed the closing time of the predetermined restaurant where we were going to eat. I broke out Google Maps and searched for restaurants nearby that we're still open. That's how we discovered Luigi's.

We walked in the front door to a completely empty dining room. We approached the counter and were greeted by Mike. We tell him that we are here for the first time and wanted to give a local shop our business. He takes our order then proceeds to entertain us until our food arrives. He told us stories of his kids, of the bird in the basement, and being freaked out when a mouse ran across his foot at home years ago. I was in stitches and thoroughly enjoyed the wait.

And then the pizza arrived. I ordered the same thing I always order wherever I get pizza: pepperoni with extra sauce. When I took the first bite, all I could think was, "The sauce is a little sweeter than I'm used to." At first it seemed like a distraction, but the more I ate, the better it got. The seasoning was perfect and before it was gone, I'd completely changed my mind. The crust was absolutely amazing. It was light and fluffy and the texture was outstanding. The cheese was just right. I'm not a huge fan of extra cheese and the portion was on point.

Overall, the experience was fantastic. A very special thanks to Mike and Hannah for taking the extra time with us and making two guys from South Alabama feel at home. I highly recommend you give them a try and tell them...

Working out of town and needed a decent meal. This is the place to go for casual dinner. The Deluxe pizza was delicious. My only complaint was that it was very light on sausage. The sause was fresh and the toppings scattered evenly across a perfectly made pie. We had hot wings- crunchy, juicy and cooked to perfection. Friendly staff. We ate here on Thursday the 6th of Sep. Friday we ate next door at the Mexican restaurant. If you want a suggestion . Choose this place over their neighbors. Seriously- read my review of them. Back to deliciousness. I've had good pizza from Luigis before even at higher prices. Went to try their new competing $7.99 12" with 3 toppings. Ordered 2 pizzas. Ordered first one with only pepperoni for kids. Told me 1 topping pizza would be $8.50, needed to order with 3 toppings for the $7.99 price. I asked twice and was told the same thing. So by ordering less toppings and saving them money, I was being charged more? No thank you. Mind you they offer delivery with that deal and I was carrying out. I support the smaller local business when I can. I can't deal that with mindset or business model. I wish they wouldn't screw themselves out...
