Margarita King Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Geneva

My husband and I enjoy eating at this restaurant. The food is delicious but he found that asking for a different way of plating the food is not an option)*. The place is clean and servers friendly. *At Los Compadres my husband asks for his food to be casa dia style because it is hard for him to pick up the food and out it in the tortilla himself due to his strong tremors. He asked for this at Margarita King and tge serve said they don't that. That won't stop us from eating ther occasionally, it is just embarrassing for my husband to make a mess.

Following my review, the manager called to see why we were unhappy. We stopped at the restaurant the following Sat. to have dinner. The manager was not in but we spoke to the assistant manager who was very aware of our review. I explained to her that I was not unhappy about anything. I said our server did not ask a manager or anyone, if the food could be put into a casadea form rather than my husband trying to do it himself and she just said no. Often times, when there is a way to make things easier for adults or children having a problem with the way the meal is served, it can be adjusted slightly to make it easier and less messy for the customer and the restaurant. My husband has Parkinsons which makes him very shakey; that shaking causes problems filling a tortilla shell with the contents so he asked that it come out already filled. Not a big request. The assistance manager agreed and was very accommodating to his needs. We were given a 15% discount on a meal which was not necessary. I do thank the managers for being open to new suggestions. If I could give no stars I would, I used to eat there all the time when they were compadres express and never had any problems and the food was always great, but now that it turned into margarita king, oh my god I don't even know where to begin, the first time I ordered from them I got the taco salad which is what I always got from compadre's Express and it was always a really generous portion but that time it wasn't there was hardly anything in it and this time, I'm moving everything's packed so I have no way of cooking anything so I decided to go in there and order something for takeout so I could have a hot meal and I've been on the toilet for two days sick because of their food, I don't know if someone didn't wash their hands or the food was bad or what but anything I even drink comes right out of me, I definitely don't recommend this place at all!!!!! first time ever writing a bad review for a restaurant .. tried pick up for margarita king for the first time today and was extremely disappointed , the chips we got were soooo stale we couldn’t eat any , the queso cup for 4-5$ is extremely tiny, 20$ chicken fajitas and 20$ 3 barria tacos ( whatever that’s fine ) but for it to be so expensive you would think you would get a decent potion but the portions are soooo tiny , and they also forgot my shredded cheese I paid for on the side for the fajitas . Disappointed and wont be back will stick to wild burrito...
