Wayne's Pizza has always been a favorite for me, but I brought my family in for some slices of pizza today after being away from the area for a year, and was really looking forward to some Wayne's. Though their cheese fies were excellent as usual, and the thin crust pizza was fresh and pleased my wife & kids, I was left dreading my classic choice of the pan or deep dish pizza that had been sitting there 20 mins longer than the quickly replenished thin crust. It was dry & crusty, missing parts of the cold cheese. They could have at least asked me to point out which pieces I wanted, instead of picking me out the worst and oldest pieces. After asking about how old the deep dish pizza in the warmer was, and explaining about my pizza, about 10 minutes later, someone comes over to ask if I'd like a replacement couple of slices, for the fresh one they were just getting out of the oven, but by that time I was full of the crusty s--- that I had forced down my gullet. In addition, the pizza was slightly wet or uncooked in the center. Let me give the cook here a tip. For deep dish pizza, you must reduce the temp a bit, and bake it a bit longer. This is because deep dish dough is THICKER THAN thin crust. If you cook it like a normal pizza, you will dry out the outside crust, and the inside will be doughy. Yuck! It's sad when I have to make notes on Google Maps free specific restaurant, detailing which types of foods for which meals, specifically not to get due to not as much care being put into what type of pizza...
Read moreThe pizza is great, perfect cheese/sauce/grease ratio. Ordered a X-large pizza with every meat and cheese offered, I was informed its take 50 minutes. Took 50 min on the dot. I carried the box out and it slowly started to welt in the middle from the sheer girth of this sicilian carnivore monstrosity, I place it down on my car seat. I had to buckle up the pizza to prevent spills because it has the same weight as a 5 month old Labrador retriever. Arrive at home, drop this hearty abomination on the counter and open whats remaining of the box, It's still near fresh from the oven. It's a 30 min drive back to my house No heat, no seat warmer, two windows open. The utter mass of meat, sauce, cheese and gluten was too big to radiate heat efficiently and stayed nuclear hot. The cheese was more liquid than solid. I take a bite and my mouth is ingulfed in wave of semi liquid cheeses and protein from 4 animals that walk on 4 legs. Every full bite felt so dense and herculean. A total overload of dairy and flesh. I muster the strength to finish 2 slices and burn my mouth to what fells like torn ribbons strewn across my palate. I ate the remains of what could have been enough sustenance 8 men over a course 3 days

Read moreDisappointing… This was recommended and I regret trying it. Chicken sandwich looked rubbery and raw in some parts. I ate half but after a couple of suspicious bites I threw it out. Picture attached. Mozzarella sticks were hard on the inside. Jalapeño poppers filled with cheddar - excellent! - but weren’t fully cooked on the inside, so we had to microwave them. We snacked on some pizza and it did the job, but was very plain and mild. Cheese slipped right off when grabbing a piece. Salad looked generous but I didn’t try it. I liked the fries a lot - thick steak fry style and very tasty. Also got a sausage but I didn’t try it either. Picture attached.
Unfortunately service was poor. The people at the front seemed distracted… I asked twice if they were sure they handed me everything in my order and I got an unconvincing nod. Then I got home and realized I was missing a pizza. I should have checked before I left the parking lot…
Price was appropriate for what it was. In all - despite the cost saving and the ease - we...
