I went here on a Sunday after a decent snowfall, so it wasnt too busy around opening time. The worker was polite and pleasant. Bagel selection was great. They were fresh, tasty, and a good size. This place had a great atmosphere for a bagel shop. Normal seating and some other cozy areas that looked pretty inviting especially this time of year. Talking about over near the fireplace for sure :) I definitely look forward to going back soon.

I had a lovely apple pie bagel laced with cinnamon. All my friends enjoyed their bagels as well from the Asiago to blueberry. Super tasty! I do recommend asking for light cream cheese as they do tend to lay it on heavy. Overall friendly staff and a nice, cozy atmosphere.

Modest bagelry with friendly customer service. They have several flavored cream cheeses which are quite tasty, and the bagels taste great. Giving 4 stars because it's a good place, but not as great as it could be.

We usually go to the BAB in Standale and this was our first time at this location- however we were less than impressed. I do realize that we walked in 15 minutes prior to close on Sunday of Labor day weekend, but I still don't think that justify's our experience. It all started when we had a question regarding the difference between the french toast bagel and the cinnamon bagel.. the girl helping us rolled her eyes and replied that the french toast bagel is made with cinnamon. That's when we had to re-ask what the difference between the two of them was if they were both made with cinnamon. The girl was irritated but answered our question more in depth explaining that the french toast bagel is made with egg and has chips of cinnamon throughout. Cool, finally an answer that make some sense.. that shouldn't be so hard, lol. So we ordered two bagels toasted with our cream cheese on the side. The girl asked us if we wanted our order to-go.. we answered that we were planning to eat there quickly. That's when she informed us that they were closing in 5 minutes (mind you they have a sign on the door of their hours.. we were aware that we didn't have long to eat our bagels). We could tell that they did not want us eating inside, so we then said that we would take our food to-go. The girl started toasting and then spreading out the cream cheese on one of the bagels.. that's when we had to stop her and ask for it on the side again. She gave the bag to us and we walked outside to sit at the patio tables. We opened the bag and realized our bagels were barely warm let alone toasted (thank God the cream cheese wasn't actually on them). So we brought them back inside and had to ask the girl to re-toast them for us.. you could tell that the girl was annoyed with us, but c'mon! We grabbed our toasted bagels and went back outside to eat.. literally 2 minutes later we got up because we wanted a cup of water and noticed the girls still moving around cleaning inside.. but of course the doors were locked and no one would open...

Been coming there for years - The bagels are great, but the manager lady has very poor customer service. This last time, They burnt my wife’s bagel sandwich ( the sides were black like burnt ash and parts of the bottom were hard and black). We like toasted bagels but in this case it even tasted burnt, so she asked for a new one.

The manager was really loud about it when my wife brought it back - she yelled “ what’s wrong ma’am” in an annoyed way, enough for my 10 year old daughter to say to me “ wow, she’s kind of rude dad ” … crazy that a 10 year old would notice that.

Then she/ the manager brought another one out to our table, and instead of just apologizing she told my wife “ just so you know is how they toast them she toasted all our bagels the same way so it’s normal, and that she needs to ask it to be lightly toasted next time if she doesn’t like it this way…..” so basically it’s her fault. She made the interaction super awkward and uncomfortable, over a burnt bagel she clearly burnt?

We have a lot of bagels there and it’s never came out that burnt, never tasted burnt, and my bagel and my kids all came out not looking or tasting burnt

You run a BAGEL restaurant- the thing you should get right is the bagel, right ? And then to make a huge deal and blame the customer? It wasn’t even busy there, so it’s not like we were adding to some crazy rush or pressure. She just didn’t like to admit she made a mistake.

We weren’t looking for an apology, or anything free or anything like that - but for people who have been coming there for years, we don’t appreciate being told we are wrong for...

I was a worker at Big Apple Bagel for about seven months. And within that time they had the health department called about 4 times with a violation every time......Not good. They were using Starbucks coffee beans. And passing it as big apple bagels coffee.....fakes.The baker would organized the muffins. And a number of times i have seen her lick her fingers and touch the muffins. Her being a sister to one of the owners nothing was ever said to her.she also has dentures I've seen her pull her teeth out in the dining area....funny. I had changed the pump out of the white chocolate and when i did the pump was completely thick with mold who knows how long it had been that way.yes i said something but they didn't care. Here they buy all the food from Gordon food services, Meijer and Walmart. And charge so much money for the food. and the service is poor but this is not the employees fault believe me this is how the owners run it they're stubborn, greedy and inconsiderate owners I've ever worked for and the daughter is as bad.they also transfer cream cheese in vehicles that are not at the right temperature.these are not business vehicles these are the owners personal cars. take my information however you wish. But i think if you have a business it's not just about making money. you have great owners, employees, food, and health codes to follow. I think as customers that's what we deserve especially when you make your money from us.All i ask is that you do...
