I'm posting this review as a temporary statement, as I have had absolutely wonderful experiences in the past. My son and I have Thursday evenings together and DQ is one of our regular spots. We hadn't visited in several weeks, so we made a point to head over and enjoy a good meal. Last night was a stark contrast to the usual exemplary service. From walking in the door, I could tell things have changed. There's usually a greeting, bit not this time. No big deal, people do get busy. Placing our order seemed like we were a bother to the employee (Rosa?) Again, not horrible CS, but not the usual, either. My 14 year old heard two of the male employees in the kitchen area making comments about a woman's appearance in the drive-thru and although I didn't hear the comment, I did remember hearing some loud laughter and seeing one tall, tattooed young man and another shorter guy involved. The order was correct, but the meat wasn't very well cooked, almost cold and the cheese was slightly "slimy" for lack of better description. My son wasn't very happy with the chicken strips, and they did appear to be over cooked. Other folks in the restaurant during our visit seemed to be dissatisfied with the visit as well. There was one lady in there working her tail off, a brunette, but I failed to see her name. She was in the kitchen area and was an absolute whirlwind, running orders out, apologizing to customers for a long wait and begging the two guys to help her get the orders correct and ready. I realize that it's not easy to keep a full staff with the shallow labor pool these days and not everyone has a passion for what they do 100% of the time, but this visit was a definitive departure from what we've come to expect from this location. The three males we saw working looked disheveled and careless in the presence of customers, one having spent several minutes in the bathroom and returning directly to handling food, while another was emptying trash, and again, returning directly to handling food. Also, we saw the tattooed guy flat out ignore some people standing at the register, waiting to order. I'm not trying to get anyone in trouble, just trying to show a customer's perspective on what's been experienced in the past, compared to a very recent experience. Hopefully the employees can be reminded that they're ALL part of the customer experience and the bar had been set high in previous visits. We'll definitely keep DQ on our list of favorites and hope that future evenings return to the Mayfield...
Read moreI hadn't been to dairy Queen for a while, so I went to get me and my son blizzards and went to drive through and the women on the speaker was very sarcastic, when I told her I was sorry I was still looking at the menu. When I pulled forward the guy was unfriendly did not say anything except looked annoyed he had to work there and just stared with a rude face and had horrible customer service and acted mean, I have never treated like this before at this dairy, they normally have been so nice and great customer service, so I was very surprised. Then, he took my card brought it back and a rude mean girl approach with a very mean attitude and acted the same as the guy who took my card to pay, and she did not smile was very unfriendly giving ugly faces and she hands me my blizzards in disposable coffee cups with the ice cream spilling over on the sides with no napkins and says nothing and I ask her if I could please have some napkins and she hands them over with a mean face and evil glare. I will not return to this Dairy Queen. My blizzards tasted so gross I took a bite and could not eat it, I have never gotten a bad blizzard ever at Dairy Queen before they always were my favorite but this time, they we're not mix right and just...
Read moreI'm so disappointed with the new fish basket. The 2 pieces were not bigger the 2 mozzarella sticks together only just a little bigger than a chicken nugget. Compared to the TV commercial, would be called fraud or false advertising 100%. We love the store due to knowing Mr Mayfield and his son Ryan who is actually my daughter's patient, also. The new trainee couldn't do his job if he tried harder. He got my order so wrong 6 times on just one belt buster. He can't do customer service.
We eat here every week. But, now I see the fish that tiny, I will go back to long john silvers or Culver's now. Beef up your portions. It looked like they cut my fish in half then fried it, to be honest.
You need better management for sure.
Not mad at you Ryan, or your Dad. Things are happening that you should be keeping an eye on at this Georgetown store. Especially compared to the other locations.
I still also wish you had the Jalito burger, because that's what consumers are wanting. It's the most popular burger at all the other Dairy Queens. I've ran several different questionnaires, and everyone says they want that burger more than the simple burgers, plus they say they want a hickory burger...
