Went there with my wife on Wednesday night about 8pm. Was sat at a table that had food and liquid sitting on it. Was not cleaned for at least 5 minutes. Server was not attentive and impolite. My wife was still hungry after the first round so I ordered one more roll at about 845pm. I understand they close early at 9pm but they were still open and another table had even just come in. When I asked for the roll the server audibly slammed down some items she was carrying behind us and immediately brought us the check before we got our food. When I bit into the roll a long hair had been wrapped inside. When i showed it to another server who apparently took over, I was asked if I wanted it remade not an apology or even some form of acknowledgement that this is unacceptable. It was just taken off the check and it did not seem like anyone there cared that I almost ate one of their staffs' hair. I get that you want to run out the door at 9pm. However, I got up at 5am to do my military duty and just wanted to take my wife for a nice dinner. Looks like we both did not get what we wanted. A complaint on sanitation has been made with the...

Great place to eat off of I-35 in Georgetown. I really enjoyed this place. I started by ordering sn egg roll. Nothing extraordinary about it, it seems commercially made. Next I went with the chicken fried rice. When they brought out the plate the chicken looked boiled. This is one that don’t let your eyes judge for you. The fried rice was actually very good and did not need anything else. The star of the show was the Sakura roll. It had tempura shrimp, mango avocado spicy tuna and I think some other fishes. It was covered with like a savory sauce and some jalapeño slices. It was delicious, I enjoyed every bite of this roll. The taste was something like not too sweet but savory and not spicy for my taste. I added a little soy sauce and chili oil and every bite was perfect. The tempura was crunchy from the first bite to the last. I really enjoy this place. The outside typical strip mall facade and the inside is not decorated. I am glad they focused on their culinary skills rather than their decorating skills. Service was ok nothing to...

If I could give zero stars I would. This place is a disaster. Placed a takeout order on a weekday night with them and they screwed almost everything up. I asked for extra soy sauce (didn’t even get ONE packet), I said “No ginger” (they put ginger in there right next to my roll), I asked “Do you have iced green tea?” the girl said yes. I said “Okay then I’ll get one iced green tea.” (Told her TWO times I wanted green tea. She didn’t give me iced green tea because they don’t have iced green tea there!), she told me it would be a 25 minute wait (it was 35 minutes), I asked for red snapper nigiri (they didn’t make it for me because she forgot what kind of fish I ordered. She said she called me back. No she didn’t. No missed calls.) All of this garbage and the sushi tastes gross, the gyoza was cold and they charged me $22! I’m so pissed. I hate wasting my money and my time. I will make sure we never order...

I was looking for Japanese cuisine for dinner tonight.. I knew there are not many authentic/semi-authentic Japanese options around here, so I was not expecting authentic Japanese owned restaurants. So with that said.. I ordered 4 Maki Rolls and a Chicken teriyaki with white rice and a salad to go. The moment I got home and open the bag, I saw these soy sauce packets (see photo) right then I knew this is not a good sign, because soy sauce for Japanese sushi (typically Kikoman brand) is not the same as the soy sauce packets you get with fried rice at the typical Chinese takeout restaurant. Then realizing the rice used to make the rolls are not even sushi rice, it's just white rice... (sushi rice has vinegar in it.. ) very disappointed.. The only thing I can say about the entire meal is... it was edible and not worth the money. This meal was $50 total.

Update: The last two times we’ve eaten here we could tell something was off. The food hasn’t been as good. The batter on the tempura went from a traditional batter to a panko. Not as good and was slightly undercooked. The California Roll was bland - very little flavor. The entrance to the restaurant has been trashed out with items that should be in the back. Cardboard boxes, to got stuff, silverware holders, etc. It looks tacky. I finally asked: Are there new owners? The answer came back yes. Sad to say after eating here weekly for 4 years, we won’t be back. ~~~~~~~~ Previous Review Great little Japanese restaurant. Wonderful sushi. During the week, great prices on lunch specials and Bento boxes. I especially like their Fried Shrimp Tempura rolls and Philadelphia Rolls.
