1800 Mexican restaurant — Restaurant in Georgia

We came in after a day of traveling hoping for good food and welcoming staff. We didn't receive either. After walking in and waiting, which is OK, they seemed busy, the host just looked at us and didn't say a thing. I told her we had 4 and I needed a high chair. She seemed really frazzled and we followed. She only walked us to the table, sat the menus down and walked away. I waited for a high chair that she never brought. After a bit a waiter noticed and got us one.

Chips and salsa were served promptly. They were good and fresh. It took a while for our waiter to come back and ask for our drinks. By the time he actually brought the drinks we were ready to order but he left and came back after a bit. We ordered and more chips were brought out by someone else. It took about 20 minutes for food to come out but it wasn't hot. It was luke warm at best. The kids pizza was soggy too. I know it's a Mexican restaurant but if you offer an item it should be decent. It wasn't hot either.

Our waiter never came back. No checking on refills, no asking about the food, nothing. We finished our food and he still hadn't come back. The tacos al pastor lacked flavor but my chicken had good flavor. Though I'm not sure why I was asked if I wanted my chimichanga fried since that is what that is.

After we finished we waited maybe another 10 minutes before I got up to go to the front to ask for the check. I walked up to the counter I'm assuming is for to go since that was the only person standing by a register. That person ignored me. Completely avoided eye contact and said nothing. After a while, again, someone walked by and asked if I needed something. I told him I wanted to pay so I could leave. He found our waiter and when he told him he looked genuinely confused. After he figured it out he handed us the check. All I got was a thank you. No asking about service or food. Honestly if I didn't have to pay I wouldn't have. It was not worth it whatsoever.

I understand being busy but service shouldn't get neglected. Or waiter came to our table a total of 3 times.

I will also add the water smells and tastes funny. But that is probably a normal thing considering the hotel had the same smell and taste. I strongly suggest bottled water, I couldn't even drink it despite...

We ordered chick fajitas nachos, and all bells and whistles ( rice and guacamole sour cream per menu description DIDNOT come with it . Ok COVID, inflation short staff ?? Whatever) . At the end of the meal when we got our bill , the lady who sat us came and asked how everything was?? we complemented the waitress to a lady said thank you for compliments and said will send you " a complimentary two shots of tequila" we don't do shots .. but hay thanks , what a great gesture.. specially these days RIGHT ?? . In the meantime we paid for our dinner with extra tip for KARINA THE SWEET WAITRESS,, Once we got the two "complementary shots" .My husband went to the bar and asked for cup of ice , to mix with the "free tequila" shots, The bartender was not exactly the nice one either .. Once he got back to the table some "other "waitress came at us with the bill for the tequila shots What ??? .. we asked for that original lady who offered the free tequila shots , she was by the kitchen door along with all the wait staff , she didn't come back to talk with us as fast as the"complimentary tequila" bill came at our table .

It was no misunderstanding from our part either, We both were thinking this is not happening , what is wrong with ppl and restaurants these days.. second time there , last time there, was my Bd. , But you know I said to my husband I'm old enough not to care about bd, I'll continue to cook at home and not go out to deal with these craziness.

Okay this restaurant is new and getting a lot of traffic since they opened. The decor is nice tables and booths with a large bar our server was friendly a local women the table could have been wiped cleaner their was the dirty rag film. Now I have to say I like mexican food that is authentic especially when ordering something that is not a taco or burrito. We asked our server about some items on the menu and placed our order while we ate chips and salsa drank a cold beer. The food was disappointing again most mexican dishes have the same items arranged differently. So quickly the meat was tough the onions not cooked the rice undercooked and the refried bean dip came from a can. The waitress asked how was everything when I explained the meat which I think was short rib could not be chewed or cut with the knife she said that I should have ordered a burrito. A woman who I think was the manager walked buy asked if dinner was okay as I had pushed the plate away to the other side of the table uneaten she shrugged her shoulders and walked away. My wifes order was half eaten no need for a to go box. We did notice some folks sending wings back that were not cooked fully. This is getting kind of long. Taco Bell would have been better and cheaper, Brunswick G.A has one or two much better mexican restaurants with good food and a much cheaper menu with...
